All we know right now is that: She released an album and filmed 3 videos for it and one performance. She hasn’t mentioned the album in 2 months. She has posted about Haus Labs constantly. Based on this information and nothing else we can most likely assume that at this very moment she is not passionate about this album but is passionate about Haus Labs. Because you have one side showing no empathy or consideration for how and why this era has turned out the way it has. All they seem to care about is that they aren't getting what they want. They don't think of Gaga as a human being or even what her songs are about. They're just here for the bops and the acclaim. Coronavirus doesn't seem to exist in their world and Gaga has no excuses according to them. The other side is thinking of reasons why Gaga isn't actively promoting and using empathy and understanding to find reasons why she's not doing it based on the things she's said this year and in previous interviews. They know what songs like Plastic Doll and Fun Tonight mean, and they take these things into consideration when talking about why this era hasn't been the best. They also know that it's not her fault because of Coronavirus. Obviously we don't know anything but why immediately jump to conclusions like "she's lazy" and "she doesn't care anymore". (And yes, people are saying these things). Surely the nicer assumption to make is that perhaps she's got better reasons that don't show her as a selfish uncaring person. If this era would have been bland, like bland music, lyrics, music videos, visuals, concept, the performance that she delivered then yes we could have said that she's indeed lazy and not so involved on her music like before but that's simply not the case. She showed dedication in those moments where she promoted the album so It's very logical to think that It's not her feelings about this album that is lacking but something else (maybe her label doesn't believe in her album anymore which kinda made her sad? Who knows). As for Haus Labs and the other things that she promotes, she's kinda forced to do it because she has to fullfill her contract with those companies. Yes I am also very sad and disappointed that Chromatica could not get what it deserved and be what Gaga wanted. You see how I didn't blame individual people and their competence at their jobs, or slam their work ethic or not understand that people can be working and not seen or a person can care about more than one thing at a time? Fans can be sad but it's the going in, forever going in, on nonsense that is upsetting. Side note: she can't make art right now, but contracts were signed and those photo shoots were taken months ago. So, in the meantime, they will be used. She did not forgo her art to do these things so I am not mad about them. I And yes, "fans" have explictly called her lazy on this site. I think the days are gone that Gaga is super visible with us and that’s ok. She gave us her all in the beginning of her career and then was torn apart during ARTPOP. Imagine the immense pressure of living up to your past, it messes with your mind. I’m really hoping we do get a few more gems from Chromatica and promo might pick up again around Grammys and before the Chromatica Ball which is more and more likely to happen. Award shows If you've been following bts reporting on these award shows, they aren't very careful. They're trying to recoup that money and get those ratings/ad dollars and letting restrictions slip. The NBA bubble they are not. The whole ordeal -- testing and isolation of multiple musicians, dancers and Haus members (for rehearsal and performance)-- for four minutes, in little more than a black box set, in front of no one, isn't worth it or fun. Specials My point was that everyone was pointing to what others were doing as an excuse to slam her for not simply doing the same thing . Though disregarding if that was even something Gaga wanted to do at all. I imagine Gaga could do a special but we don't know the logistical and financial circumstances of that. So I'm not gonna screech about "why isn't she doing x ?" It would have to be timed right and right now "the little US dumpster fire that could" has just hit a gas station. So.....like I said, I wouldn't be mad at all if she just dipped for a while to work out what's next. A heartfelt Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year's tweet in the meantime is fine with me. Dua Dua can do Dua. I'm talking about Gaga's options, goals and wants. Every time I see "fans" fuming on here, they're calling her lazy. OT: You made several points. Yes, I'm disappointed that she hasn't done what she could've / what she had planned, but I'm not going to obsess over it every day and get upset at her and then fight fans who defend her (like most people on here recently).
