I'm exhausted. So I might regret posting this, I might not communicate myself perfectly, I might get wps ... but, hey

So...theres a new round of posts and threads about how Gaga's "failed": She's failed herself and she's failed us! Her choices suck, her team sucks and everything wrong with this era is only because of the five people whose name and face I know! She's lazy for not doing "anything"! She's lazy for not sacrificing her health to entertain us while the world is being consumed by disease and hardship!

She could do more! 

She should do more!

Why isn't she doing more!?!

Idc if Gaga's gone for a little while. Everyone's life has been turned upside down. She didn't fall off the face of the earth, she's here and trying to figure out this hellscape, just like the rest of us. A person can only do so much, responsibly.

She's done what she could for Chromatica while navigating a pandemic and I'm grateful for what she could pull off. Even the things we know were planned and cancelled would've been epic. Meanwhile she's doing what she can to help other : with COVID relief, with BLM, for black trans lives, to get out the vote, to get Trump out of office (). That's more than a lot of people and that's just what we know about. 

Idc that the other girls are doing xyz. Let Mariah do an Xmas special,  let Dua do a blowout concert special -- I can't even recall the other sh!t people wanted her to do too. The label has money for one era and one era only. Save that budget for Chromatica Ball girl.

Idc that she's not on tv or at every award show. I don't want her to be. I don't want her risking her and her team being exposed to Covid for 4 mediocre minutes to an empty auditorium. For what? 

Idc about her having to make good on her contractual obligations to companies. Which NO ONE would care about if TCB was still on bc it would've dovetailed into, and boosted, TCB promo. They had prob bigger plans ruined by Covid too: Valentino had an exhibit and Tudor prob would've made some content with her again. And OF COURSE HL was going to be pushed during their anniversary and holiday season. I wish yall would stop acting dumb like HL isn't going to be heavily integrated into her life from now on. Lady f#cking Gaga founded her own makeup company (not a line, a whole ass company) from scratch, with her MUA and best friend. This is her baby -- deal with it.   What's funny is how few of you realize how many people get to keep their jobs and how many companies get to stay open (even if just for a little while longer) bc these products need to be made. 

Idc that merch hasn't come in. All of these manufacturers and workers are dealing with complications due to covid too.  They are backed up or even shut down. So either wait or ask for a refund. Cuz when the merch does come in, you'll be in the same predicament, won't you?  I also don't care that she just signs an "L" now. I have something that Gaga actually signed and touched, and stop acting like that's not why you got it or that some of y'all got it for free anyway.

Idc about no promo or chart presence right now, bc the Ball is nearly NINE MONTHS away. You are straight up crazy if you think trying to make Chromatica happen, and keep it hot for another nine months (on top of the last nine months), is better than laying low, regrouping and coming back full force closer to the tour dates.

Its the same reason Idc that she's signing onto movies while we wait for more Chromatica. It doesn't take that long to shoot movies anymore. Gaga could, theoretically, be in her first trimester, grow a whole baby, give birth and still have 3 months before TCB  Which is just six dates spaced out over 5 weeks anyway. She can film several movies and projects, before and during TCB, if she cared to.

Finally, Idc if I don't see this woman through New Years. She'll post and write on social to keep us updated but let her hibernate. I'll miss her ofc but what people always forget, even outside of a pandemic, is that Gaga's periods of quiet are always followed by new projects or content. 

Just because we don't know what shes doing, doesn't means she's not doing anything.

She's not lazy, she's not lacking passion, she's not lacking commitment, she's just trying to figure it out -- just like everyone else. 

Chromatica is far from over, so chill tf out with all these post-mortems.

Honestly what I've come to realize is that the vibe on GGD has shifted to one closer to what you see on sites like ATRL, which leans heavily into negativity-based humour, constantly dragging celebs and other forum users.

There's this odd dedication to actively sh*tting on everything all the time, and there are a handful of specific users I see swooping in with the  emoji or one liners like "wow the racists really jumped out today!" or whatever the f*ck type of hit and run comment they can make to announce they're better than everyone else.

GGD, in my opinion, is becoming incredibly toxic and this makes me sad because I've been coming to this site since day one. So many super fans have moved on because they're tired of seeing thread after thread that sucks all the air out of the room. There's nothing fun about being negative all the time, and if something isn't done to address this soon I feel like GGD is going to become a shell of what it once was.

Let's talk about how Dua's tour is 11 months away and she's doing shows and planning new videos for the era. And before you come here "but Dua is in her early years" I'm not bashing Gaga for not filming plenty of music videos, it's just the lack of communication + content.
I'm pretty sure she made lots of photoshoots, behind the scenes of the album, videos, VMA performance yet they're giving us nothing

But YES, people consistently called her lazy, say she's done nothing, have criticized Covid being an excuse and apparently, everything that's happened that they don't like was 100% because of personal decisions made by Gaga, Bobby, Sarah, Richy or just "the Haus".  Not circumstances,not money, not timing, not resources, certainly not the label and definitely not a pandemic.

Thanks for writing this. I don't care either. I knew she was going to come back with an amazing album and era (before Covid arrived). I had faith that she was going to deliver and she did because Chromatica is one of her best albums. Nobody could have anticipated a global pandemic occuring this year. It's not her fault that her plans changed and I don't blame her for it. I'm just happy that she gave us an album full of bops and I don't even care that we barely see her anymore because I've got more important things to focus on and I know she does too.

And then the other side says: “She’s not lazy, she’s struggling with blah blah blah”

How does either side know any of this. We legit know nothing about her personal life and feelings in this very moment. we legit do not have ANY information to determine if she is lazy or not.
All we know right now is that: She released an album and filmed 3 videos for it and one performance. She hasn’t mentioned the album in 2 months. She has posted about Haus Labs constantly. Based on this information and nothing else we can most likely assume that at this very moment she is not passionate about this album but is passionate about Haus Labs.

No one is saying that she's lazy. But let her fans be sad or disappointed if an artist is not giving them art. People are here for the art, not makeup, watches and perfumes.
