Your Favorite Moments being a Little Monster

It goes without saying that Gaga has been a huge inspiration and positive force in all of our lives. I know I wouldn't be here without her music. When you look back at your history of being a little monster, are there moments that stand out? What memorable experiences (good or bad) have you had while being a Gaga fan?  Were there Gaga things that you did in the past that make you laugh and smile now? I'll start :hor:

In 2009, I remember my friends were circulating the videos for the piano versions of Poker Face and Paparazzi. We were so amazed and in love with her raw vocals. It was honestly so shocking at the time. One of my friends liked the piano versions more than the studio releases. :messga:

Also around 2009, I was made fun of at a church youth group for wearing a Lady Gaga T shirt. :huntyga: They thought she was evil and against the church... It emboldened me to worship Gaga even more.

At a school fair there was a face painting event and I asked to get the Lady Gaga lightning bolt. For the rest of the day I made people address me as Mother Monster. :laughga: It was my profile picture on Facebook for months. :fail:

At another church youth group, we had a dance party. Yup a bunch of awkward Christian teenagers having a dance party where they banned secular music. I begged and begged and begged that they play Bad Romance. They reluctantly agreed but played it at lower volume (like that was gonna do anything). When it came on, I busted out the choreography and THRIVED. :firega:

I remember watching the nightly news with my grandmother when they said Bad Romance was the most viewed YouTube video of all time. She was so bewildered and upset at how popular it was. "This world is going to hell!" Haha ohhhhh Nana.

Fast forward to the Born This Way Era...

When Judas was released, I was on a school bus sitting next to my crush at the time. I told him about this new Lady Gaga song and we shared earphones to listen to it together for the first time. A wonderful experience :bradley:

I tried showing my friends in my school's crowded cafeteria the choreography to Marry The Night. Key word here is tried.:selena:

In Spanish class, we had to make videos for our final project. I used Alejandro and Americano as the soundtrack for those videos :bear: A+ of course. :ohwell:

My mom taking away and throwing out my Born This Way rainbow flag. :noparty:

Dancing and singing to The Edge of Glory at high school prom

For the sake of time, I'll post more about ARTPOP, C2C, Joanne, and ASIB. How about you guys?

One of my favorite moments was when I was able to snap a picture of this Once in a lifetime outfit at the Vegas ArtRave show that I attended, I lost my shyt when I saw her coming out. She didn’t wear it again which makes that experience even more special to me

Mmm, so many great memories...

From voting for so many awards maniacally, to listening new albums and crying of joy

But one that I will cherish the most was watching Grammys 2011, when Gaga performed Born This Way for the first time. That anticipation, her arrival in a vessel on the red carpet, and that show-stopping performance with amazing energy, choreo and vocals was mind blowing! Even today is! Just... TRICONIC!

And of course when she won 3 Grammys that same night

since her debut, I was 7 years old, so here are my favourite 'casual' fan moments:

hearing paparazzi in like July 2009 on radio at some gas station while my dad went in to pay. It was so pretty sounding but I didn't know what paparazzi meant so I thought she was singing about her 'papa' called Roxy or some type of cured meat.

Watching Bad romance for the first time was an experience I'll never forget. Me and my siblings gathered and watched it in shock.

Xfactor 2009 was the first live performance I saw of her and I thought she was cloned and replaced because she was suddenly pale and had no bangs anymore:ladyhaha: I Also thought she was polish or Russian.

I remember calling her a cauliflower here

I was 8 when she wore the meat dress and I remember the whole school went crazy for it for a few days, we had so many discussions about it - we were shook

I remember watching Judas with my sister and I got so excited to talk about it with my friends at school the next day, again, very shook

Jo Calderone had me convinced she wanted to become a man permanently :ladyhaha: I was 9 after all haha

I've only been a proper monster since 2016 so:

The whole ARTPOP era. All the eras mean something to me but the way I lived that era was different. From the announcement to the artRAVE. The looks, the performances, the interviews...I felt it on a spiritual level. Also 2010 was great, when she was at the top. I remember everyone asking me questions about Gaga everytime she did something lmao. I kinda felt special and proud lmao.

I was in the TV studio when Gaga filmed one of her X Factor performances, which was pretty cool - especially having never been able to actually attend one of her concerts due to cancellations.

But my favourite moment would be watching her Superbowl Half Time show... even though I wasn't there.

I remember being so confused when she started singing on the roof... and being shocked at every turn, from the in-air acrobats to watching the much-speculated set list unravel. It was so exciting.

I also remember chatting to some of you guys on here, waiting for that damn countdown to finish and it kept pausing and increasing due to how the game was going. It was so intense :bradley:

And then when Gaga suddenly made this post on Instagram moments before heading out to the field.

The excitement... even being thousands of miles away... was so, so palpable.

I remember I was SO relieved she didn't wear this at my show:billie:

But now I realise it's a total serve and would die if she wore this now:bradley:

I've only been a proper monster since PI, but a casual fan since TF. Anyways my favorite memories:

Casual:

My mum playing her TF cd all the time in her car around 2009. Seeing the BR & Telephone videos on mtv. Alejandro, everything about the song. My family blaring Applause at christmas more than christmas songs & Randomly watching the GUY video when staying over at my friends house for no reason.

Since being a monster:

- Waking up and seeing the superbowl performance.

- Watching the coachella performance & being so happy she dropped the cure

- Shallow going #1 in Europe, I was shook

- My geography teacher praising & essentially promoting ASIB to my class for an hour.

- The day shallow went #1 in the US was pretty rough for me, so it was something good

- SL's spotify debut, ROM and Chromatica releases were great too.

I remember her performance of Paparazzi at the VMAs on TV it was magical, magical, magical!!

Gaga wearing the tulle red outfit and making Justin Bieber look confused was very memorable.

Gaga wearing the meat dress.

Gaga entering the Grammys in the egg and performing Born This Way.

Gaga singing The Sound Of Music on Oscar was BEAUTIFUL, i had so many gosebumps.

I am authistic, so don't be offended if I make a mess sometimes.

The first big event after I joined GGD was the 2015 Oscars. We were so excited flooding the replies and I remember saying "I CAN HEAR GOD!"

PI announcement day changed my LIFE

Coming out to one of my BFFs then singing Born This Way in the car, getting her hooked on Gaga :trollga:

My first concert was JWT on the same day as that solar eclipse which was cool! I swear Gaga looked at me a few times

Also any time I hear a Gaga song in public I have to freak out, freak out, freak out, freak out
