LittleMonster20 9,788
We all know that Gaga has always been very open about mental health and especially since starting the Born This Way Foundation, which is great. I think also since she went trough a rough time mentally the last couple of years and probably knowing the struggles of mental health herself now more, she is very focused on it. Especially in the Oprah interviews earlier this year we got a LOT of indications she’s going to take this very serious and be very active in this awareness. Other than BTWF and Channel Kindness, what do you think Gaga is going to be doing to raise the awareness in the future? I also heard Gaga and Oprah are making or being part of a documentary on mental health, is that true? Regardless I’m glad she’s doing it. This is super important and I think we’re just beginning! GagaSine 7,464
I would really like to see her follow through with her vision of everyone (esp. young people) having access to good mental healthcare/a therapist, of course that would take an insane amount of money and work but even like funding therapy in poor communities would be an incredible thing. She mentioned this during the Oprah interview.
Ronk 14,513
I know Gaga will continue with what she can do to support mental health, and any other projects to help people. The Lupus event raised $3.1 Million for Lupus research. I am so worried about Gaga. Someone who worked with her on Chromatica said it was difficult getting through the project because of Gaga's depression. It's so sad that Gaga suffers so from depression and ptsd, as if her pain from injuries and fibro aren't enough for someone to endure every day. I live outside the space time continuum. Judging by her recent interviews I’m sure she is doing better. I hope she is taking rest and taking care of herself now! She deserves the world! She has a way of putting on a brave face and we really don't know all that she goes through. Same for her work in helping others. We don't know the half of it because mostly she doesn't use her kind efforts to shine a light on herself. Sometimes someone with a phone is in the area and is able to capture some candid moments and that's how we find about some of what she did if we're lucky. Artistically she cites Madonna and others as in influence. But in her life I think she is most influenced by people like Gandhi and Dalai Lama. The strength of character of the great boxer Muhammad Ali reminds me most of Gaga: "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth." __ Muhammad Ali “Truly great people in history never wanted to be great for themselves. All they wanted was the chance to do good for others and be close to God.” ― Muhammad Ali “I try not to speak about all the charities and people I help, because I believe we can only be truly generous when we expect nothing in return.” ― Muhammad Ali I live outside the space time continuum.
