He had left his home, and went with his a "friend and their mother" to a then unknown location (Where they initially may have gone prior to being found is still unknown.) Because he had been picked up without the consent of his parents, they called the police and said that he was missing. The police did not send out an Amber alert. He was found in a field on November 2nd, and both of his parents were informed in the days following. An initial autopsy concluded that the teen drowned, but his injuries suggest that he may have been lynched. His parents are working to get a self-funded second autopsy. Due to the injuries that he had, many people have concluded that it was a lynched. The situation is being compared to Emmett Till, a black 14 year old that was lynched when visiting family in 1955. ---- WARNING: Be careful when looking up images, they are graphic. ---- This happened in 2020. A situation comparable to one of the most infamous lynching's in US history took place in 2020. No words... What's makes this worse is the sheer initial lack of action by police. But see how this racist killing tactic has stretched right from the past and now has destroyed Quawan Charles' family. I'm so tired of this. His poor family.
