Following a series of trial runs, The Flaming Lips are finally ready to present a space bubble concert for the general public.

As BrooklynVegan points out, the band will take the stage at Oklahoma City’s The Criterion on December 11th for what they’re calling the “World’s First Space Bubble Concert.” Attendance will be limited to just 100 people in order to accommodate room for the giant, inflatable hamster balls, inside of which each audience member will remain for the duration of the show. Tickets go on sale starting Friday, November 13th.

As another preview of the upcoming concert, The Lips have shared a new live video for “Brother Eye” from their latest album, American Head.

Hell yeah! This looks so fun, the crowd surf is a serve!

Don't understand why the whole band is in bubbles? Doesn't seem practicle and is unnecessary.

So what happens if you have to pee?:laughga:

I guess now everyone will need a 'front row at a Gaga show' mentality, aka, hold it till the show is over.

But in reality they would need a solution for this. Maybe two strong men in spacesuits will come and lift you up and carry you out?

Nope. The sound will be awful, vision is distorted, and concerts are already hot without being stuck in a bubble. Also, oxygen levels.

I can imagine someone tripping over or jumping into another bubble, and half of the crowd falling over :bear:
