KORG 4,756
Its clear that many of you have never had to negotiate. Ever. Bless. Put it this way, if you came to me with this stern ultra left ideology I would be so put off I would move right. Thats why being extremely lefty doesn't win elections. Put it this way, part of deal making is starting with what you want and compromising until both parties is happy/unhappy. The strategy of the democrats is to start at the compromise and compromise further. End result is nobody is happy with what gets done and the problems get worse. stevana229 1,916
I don't believe this. A major reason moderate Democrats lost their congressional seats is because of far left democrats wanting to defund the police and have a Green New Deal. not that those ideas are far fetched, but they should be approached differently

It may not be true, but in rural America, moderates do not resonate with that. Which is why some moderate democrats in Iowa, New Mexico, Minnesota, and Florida lost their seats

Which is why some moderate democrats in Iowa, New Mexico, Minnesota, and Florida lost their seats The republicans are going to use scare tactics every election. They say things that arent true all the time. They called Obama and Joe socialists when both clearly werent. One before AND one after Bernie. You are basically arguing that, "we have to proof how much like republicans we are so the republicans dont spend huge amounts of money lying about how unrepublican we are." Youre never going to change anything when you approach it that way. The reason is because why would they vote for republican-lite when they can have a republican? You cant make it to the negotiation table if youre busy yelling into a megaphone. You cannot sway the GP with extremely left views the way that you can with right wing views. The right wing views have "tradition" and nostalgia that bend the minds of uneducated Americans. The far left doesn't have that edge. It must be approached more gently. For example: this thread. You havent had anyone change to your POV but you've definitely brushed people up the wrong way.
