Rj Barker 3,328
Anybody have any good horror recommendations? I have exhausted Netflix and prime and at a loss as to what to watch. Seen majority of big releases and stuff so anything more obscure or you think is a must see?? Slasher/haunting/paranormal/sci-fi/true crime/gore anything really. Thanks in advance!! elijahfan 26,311
I don't know if that would be your cup of tea, as it's more arthouse than mainstream, but I'd definitely recommend the 2018 Suspiria remake from Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino. This is my favorite horror film of the last 10 years, I even got a tattoo over it, I'm completely obsessed with it... So there you go

I think for people going into the show expecting horror to the extent of hill house it may have been a bit underwhelming. To be honest, going into the show I had a hunch that it was gonna have less emphasis on scares so I was a bit sad about that. However by the end of the show, I was completely overwhelmed by tears and emotion and realized that I cared far more about the love stories between the characters than whether I thought the show delivered enough scares. I still think about Bly Manor to this day, because the emotional depth it delivered to the audience was something I haven't ever experienced from a show, let alone a horror series. What they achieved is nothing less than a gothic/romance/horror masterpiece. While you can say the show wasn't particularly scary, "boring" is hardly ever a word I'd consider while talking about the show. I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas. But Hill House was far scarier. "634 blowjobs in 5 days. I'm really quite tired."

Yes, Italian giallo is quite something and not for everyone, both versions are vastly different (as remakes should always be). It's really too bad nobody went to see this film 2 years ago, but it has future cult classic written all over it. It already proved influential in pop culture and fashion.
