Yeah I don’t think it has to do with them coming out se non binary. The album is simply not good. I always get the albums I like on vinyl, and this is a pass for me. I feel bad off them, but I hope they can go back to the studio and work harder to produce better music.

I blame the awful rollout. Mixed response to the lead single and then an average album released the next week will hurt they longevity of this album and it’s sales.

but if it is someone who came off one of the biggest era of the last decade and they fail to outdo Joanne's debut... we come up with excuses?

I think she has been too over-exposed.

I know TUN is a year and a half old but she never really went away after it and kept releasing features and singles. 

This and the lack of hype around the release contributed to its underperformance I believe.

It’s been the #1 song on Spotify since its release so clearly people love it.

It was delayed and originally due in June but had to be completely changed (original title was "To Die For"). That combined with Ariana announcing she's releasing the same week plus there being the US election has meant basically no one has the appetite for it. They'd had so much bad luck, and we thought Gaga's Chromatica was unlucky....

Instead they focussed their promo heavily in the UK and it sold well here
