It’s Australia + the island of New Guinea. So If we’re being really technical, the comparison of a whole continent vs the US is incorrect bc this thread is only talking about the country Australia. MelbHawker 6,583
I live in Melbourne.. the lockdown we endured was very tough on so many re: mental health & the economy. A lot of stores/businesses are empty, there are a tonne of people out of work. With that said, I know everyone in my city is happy that we have minimized the threat of Covid. It’s going to allow us to bounce back strongly (& hopefully manage any future out break with no blunder / error like there was the first time). Scary seeing case numbers in the US & Europe re-peaking. I truly feel for those there who are doing the right thing.

That still doesn't change the statement that Glojuice made? Australia is still a continent, regardless of what's inside it. Australia is the name of the continent and includes the country of Australia.

Yes, I’m just saying that the first user said that Australia a whole continent, was handling the situation better than the US. But this article is about Australia the country, not the continent, which doesn’t only include Australia the country. Lol this is just me being very technical, it’s not that serious. I’m obviously not correcting anyone saying Australia is a continent.
