Guest Posted November 4, 2020 Share Posted November 4, 2020 Four more years of Trump will be the deathblow to the planet. I say it how it is. It’s what scientists are lowkey stating. We cannot afford having superpower of the world actively working against environmental efforts for another four years. If we look at the crucial regions in terms of its climate Amazon rainforest or Arctic regions and in what desastrous conditions they already are a position shifting the carbon policies of the country and leading negotiations with Bolsonaro and/or Putin to start making efforts to avert the crisis is the life saver the planet needs. And in the longrun trying to slowly adjust the economy to new standards is way cheaper and reassuring more jobs than having a hard and tumultous transition, especially for those businesses which are affected the most, e.g. oil companies. But they are too blinded... If Trump wins we have to do everything in our power to demand climate policies. This is literally about the future of the coming 20+ years.
