LBR the objectives of many since day one is to get Trump out of office anyway, I mean hashtags #VoteHimOut exist, so that part is fulfilled

They can battle with Republican senate or whatever another day. At least the country don't have a toxic fanfare anymore come January.

A more progressive campaign would have lost the election. In times of crisis people vote for the incumbent sometimes even if the incumbent hasn't performed well during said crisis 

 

People voted for a calm steady hand. Biden won and he won with a handy margin. Full stop.

In other words, you guys cried that a progressive would ruin the down ballot races and that's why we needed a moderate. Now that the moderate underperformed, the logic is "well we won and have a gridlock congress, good enough!!"

When the incumbent oversaw a depression the incumbent has always lost except for FDR so you're also wrong.

Yes, but the economy did rebound to an extent. Anyone who thinks that an anti fracking, police defunding platform would have helped the dems have their heads in the sand.

Its still is a depression. Idk what you're talking about. 

Ban on fracking is popular and defund the police not so much. And dems did not run on defund the police. Republicans just said they were.

Actually it's 4 seats and just so you know Marjorie, two of the ones that flipped were Florida. Democrat Debbie Mucarsel-Powell was received as a Socialist and Republican Carlos Gimenz as an Independent centrist. And they the Republicans used socialism and ties to Bernie in attack ads against Donna Shalala.

So yeah, your argument is kinda flawed. I'm willing to bet that that negative socialist ads were also used  in conservative NM, OK and IA, where we lost seats.

Yeah Bernie was my first choice but for sure he would have lost. Biden just about managed to pull through because of the rust belt, those voters would never have voted for Bernie and democratic socialism. People need to come to terms with the fact that the majority of americans are easily fooled, even if democratic socialism would help them they would never vote for him and instead run to the republicans when given the choice. Biden did what he had to do for the current situation and present day

Bernie did very well in the rust belt. So, no. you can't just outright and say he would have lost.

Republicans have been using the socialism word since Obama; so, the reality is that those attacks are always going to happen. Period. Whether they are accurate or not, they will always say anything to the left of them is socialism. 

As for the actual policies, Americans like socialist policies. They just either 1. don't realize they are or 2. are scared by the word because dems don't fight back hard enough against republican attacks.

Yes you can. Look at the primary results, Bernie did better in the western states like cali however when you look at the rust belt and Georgia Biden got landslide wins compared to him. Heck look at PA alone, Biden got 1.3 million votes wheras Bernie only got 300k. And Biden just about managed to win it in the general election, Bernie would have been demolished by Trump and we would have been seeing 4 more years of the gop in power. Biden isn't perfect but he did what he had to do

Again my constant refrain is this: people voted for Biden in 2020 for perceived electability. Voters like Bernie and he always will be a better general election candidate than in the dem primary for that reason. A Bernie gen election would have went very differently.
