Right now, if the estimated vote count is correct, Trump needs 57% overall of the remaining vote to win. There have been drops below that, including one which increased Biden’s lead; others above that. Most AZ drops are whittling away at Biden’s lead, as per https://alex.github.io/nyt-2020-election-scraper/battleground-state-changes.html# so it remains a question of just how many votes there are left to count. Or maybe deep blue Apache county or blue Pima county (Tucson, and my friend there who I briefly dated but for whom we decided friendship was our path, ain’t a Trump supporter, I assure you) will give us drops widening Biden’s lead. A lot is up in the air with AZ.

He will be way too old at 83, plus the stress of the presidency is way too much. I think he plans on preparing things so that Kamala can become the nominee in 2024.

Did he confirm that? Or is there an age limit? Not an American so I'm not familiar with how things work there.

It is very unlikely he will run for re-election in 2024. He is already cognitively declining and the oldest president elect in history. There is no age limit, but a lot of people talking about his campaign when it was announced (like the ladies on The View) talked about him running as a one term president.

Biden has a stutter. Nothing more.

Anyway, some pretty good news for @Jill. Let’s look at AZ’s numbers again:

Those provisional ballots will most likely look what what we have seen so far with in-person ballots: Slightly favoring Biden, so they probably won’t move the needle, or move the needle blue a bit. Now, if we have 51,000 mail-in votes, and they have the same margin we have been seeing so far overall with mail-ins (58.5%, and there are reasons to think the Tucson area and remaining Phoenix area drops will be more blue), Biden will still be about 10,000 votes ahead of Trump in AZ when we run out of ballots.

So, unless those provisional ballots are red, AZ is blue. Dangit.

My source is my own eyes, and the backing up I've gotten from talking to medical professionals about his current state. I am sure Biden will be able to lead with the help of Kamala, but by 2024 it'll be pushing it big time. He had numerous gaffes that were not stutter related. One of said gaffes was him telling the audience at the primary debates to leave the record player on. Just watching his 2020 debates with Trump vs his 2012 debates with Paul Ryan make the difference quite stark.

Again, if you have it in writing in a reliable third party source, please enlighten me.

I don’t see anything over at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Biden about Biden having cognitive decline. I do see this, however:

“Biden has a stutter, which has improved since his early twenties.  He says he has reduced it by reciting poetry before a mirror, but it has been suggested that it affected his performance in the 2020 Democratic Party presidential debates.”

Lady, with something like this, I’m gonna ask that we not promote prejudices against people with stuttering issues or stereotype an older man with a stutter as having cognitive decline. I know I’m dragging you for this, but please don’t be dragging Joe Biden unless one has solid evidence backing up the claims.

What's your point? Bernie had a freaking heart attack during his campaign. That wasn't even an assumption from an untrained eye. It was a medical diagnosis.

And? Bernie has better plans than Biden and was more cogent during the debates. It doesn't take a trained eye or a medical professional to spot signs of cognitive decline in a man nearing 80. I was just pointing this out as further evidence as to why Biden won't run in 2024.

I'm reading people say that when they were watching it on MSNBC they cut to a football game immediately after and they panicked thinking it was an actual gunshot
