I’m going to defend JusKeepBreathing here. I think we all want the same thing: Policies which turn back the tide on the increasing income inequality, and the increasing greed which is damaging this planet need to change. I think we’re all on that. It’s just a matter of how we get there.

We just don’t have the votes to have all-at-once blue revolution happen. The best chance to make it happen is to have statewide ballot measures for sensible things like accepting the medicaid expansion and $15/hour minimum wage (ever here, stuff like affirmative action failed in the CA ballot, while the “keep on screwing over the Uber/Lyft contractors” won on the CA ballot, so ballot measures are not universally progressive).

I think, for Progressivism to win, we need to start local and move upwards. Criticizing the Democratic party candidate (and now president-elect) isn’t going to make any more friends for the progressive cause. It’s just going to turn off voters to progrssiveism. Progressives should not be carrying water for the Republican party, and, yes, attacking the Democratic president is doing just that.

Sanders is right: Getting Trump out of the office is a huge win for progressives. We are now a lot closer to enacting policies to reduce income inequality, defend the rights of the oppressed, and protect this planet from out of control greed.

And if @FATCAT has data to back up their claim that Joe won specifically because of black women they will provide it. Otherwise, their statement is just a platitude that was used to distract from my previous reply. 

But since you asked for an attack with regard to Biden, maybe there was a lack of enthusiasm for the architect of mass incarceration in senator Bidens 1994 crime bill. Or because of busing. Or because he has proven time and time again that he doesnt care about the struggles of minority communities.

Bernie lost the nomination, and Biden won the nomination, because of black women.

Biden won the presidency because black women showed up to vote for him in cities across the country, even in the reddest of states like Georgia. Bernie lost the nomination because he couldn't sway the backbone of the Democratic party, black women, and that's a fact.

And you were right too. I'm a little clumsy with my delivery.  I didn't mean to say you were angry and I shouldn't have painted with such a broad brush. 

I think we should push more progressive ideas through grassroots movements.  I also think we should enjoy this moment.
