For those unaware: Meg Whitman was the CEO of Hewlett-Packard and CEO of Quibi. She bankrupted the former and the latter only existed for six months :poot:

She is also a Republican. If true, it actually makes sense. Biden is trying his best to try and unify a very deeply divided nation. That may not be possible, but I can understand the logic.

When a sizable portion of the nation is stuck in echo chambers which claim, without evidence, that the vote is rigged, I just can not think how I can reach out and reason with someone that far gone and that far detached from reality.

Just because there names are floating around doesn't mean anything. It could have been intentionally leaked as a way to show that they aren't just following partisan politics. Also, just because they might run those positions doesn't mean they get to decide the policy, that's still very up to Biden.

...It "doesn't mean anything" that his transition team is vetting potential candidates and releasing those names to the press? :air:

That last line... that is 1. not true and 2. Biden is extremely conservative and has delivered for banks, insurance companies, and credit card companies his entire career. They literally used to call him the "Senator from MBNA," and for good reason.

I get that you and the older moderates still posting in this thread don't want anyone to criticize Biden at all, but I'm not going to deny reality when it's staring us in the face. :rip:

Well it's not like we expected him to be the second coming of Karl Marx :bear: I still think he's better than Trump

I'm completely fine with fair critiques of his decisions, but they haven't even been made yet. He won't be president until  next year. Just focus on Trump's last days until then, because I'm sure he'll be making decisions that anger everyone in his lame duck then Biden will.

Not to mention the fact that his choices have to make it past the senate confirmation, which will give any candidate extra scrutiny. He's going to have to make compromises with the Republicans, that's how congress works.

Hopefully, now that he’s the loser, he will just quietly play golf and not do anything stupid.

Biden, IMHO, is what is best for this country right now, but we’re a deeply divided country, and the only hope we have for unity as this point may be the inevitable demographic shift (i.e. fewer hard-core Trump supporting baby boomers still around).

GWB and Mitt Romney already accepted Biden's election but Trump hasn't :air:
