If this is the case and people agree with that, then I legitimately believe the Democratic Party is over and is going to be just annihilated in future elections. Learning absolutely no lessons at all. Look, things did not turn out how we wanted. And that's okay. The democratic party needs to acknowledge what makes their voting power so big in the first place and turn themselves around, I agree. But we can't discount the fact that the presidential election turning out this way was expected, media has been talking about this happening for weeks and it did. Biden's win was been expected to be narrow for a while now even though he was polling ahead a few points in most battleground states. We knew it would come to the rust belt and maybe the western swing states. But the fact is we're getting Trump out of office, yeah we wanted more than just that but that is also a big accomplishment and will very likely pull out or at least slow down the nose dive the US is currently taking as a country and as a global leader. Will dems struggle to get things done without the senate? Yes. But little happening is better than what has been happening.

I definitely agree voter suppression and intimidation is a problem and shouldn't be a thing. I don't believe it made the difference though. caulixtla 2,170
GA update: 162,000 ballots, 67,000 vote defect for Biden. We need 72% of the remaining votes to get GA. Fulton county (NW Atlanta) has been at 72% Biden; DeKalb (SE Atlanta) is around 83% Biden. Other counties are more red, but we may make up for it because these are mail-ins which are more likely to go blue. I would say 70% of getting GA, but that’s a rough guesstimate. Nate Cohn hasn’t turned on the needle again, so the last good number we have is 64% of getting GA. My music: https://caulixtla.com/music

I agree that this shouldn't be all that surprising and that some outlets were careful and indicated it would be closer. And sure, it's not all bad. I guess I'm just not feeling too hopeful because without the Senate Biden is gonna be pretty powerless at least from a legislative standpoint. Also, this means DC statehood, democracy reform, and adding justices to the SC is completely out of question now which is super disappointing. I'll take it that Trump is likely gonna lose. That's a win for sure. It just sucks for all Americans that nothing is probably gonna happen at least for the first two years of Biden's presidency. Like what about stimulus, even that is in question. With COVID and the devastating toll it's done to our economy on top of this, I genuinely fear for the future.
