The allegations of sexual harrassment in Terry Richardson’s case date back to early 2000s, and as was pointed out R Kelly was notorious in the black community since the 90s. By the time Gaga started working with them, MOST people who cared about sexual abuse prior to MeToo knew that the two have a lot to explain to the public. But the logic is only after getting allegations actually proved you can take your decision and go give support to the victims. Before that, practically or technically speaking is just a word against other. I’m saying it because we’ve already watched many other cases where people started alleging such thing just to take advantage or get attention somehow, specially in the entertainment industry. There was literally a videotape and he married Aaliyah when she was underage, as well as tons of other accusations, trails, settlements etc. Gaga herself said she collabed with him because “we both have had untrue things said about us by the media” so she knew she just thought it was lies/tabloid rumours. Terry Richardson’s misconduct was also an open secret, I would be very surprised if she did not know. Everything about the song and what was released of the video points to her purposefully trying to be controversial and provocative (see the SNL performance where her and R Kelly literally simulate sex on stage). Yes, the way Trump speaks about women is nothing to boast about and I think it reflects the language of the men (not all, but a lot of men) from his generation quite aptly. Honestly, you walk into any pub in my neck of the woods and you’ll hear guys talk about women in all sorts of deplorable ways. It’s not cute, and the men in the pub are not presidents for a reason. As a politically active citizen of your country it is your right and responsibility to see all aspects of your candidate of choice, not just the ‘good’ parts. Politicians are humans and meant to serve their people, they are not angels or gods.
