Musically, I prefer the B&W era, but visually I like the color scheme of Sweetener and thank u, next. positions is extremely basic in terms of design and the physical version of the album looks like a bootleg creation, so I'm not counting that.

the fact tu,n didn't have a proper album photoshoot besides the artwork and one photo in the booklet with the rest being stills from the 7 rings music video bothers me on a different level. Before someone @'s me the tu,n photo used here is from the fragrance photoshoot not the album.

Alfredo Flores shot it and there’s only 4 photos from the shoot including the final cover :enigma:

Versace

Let's not act like Positions is a colorful era when its entire photoshoot is monotone :ohwell:

Anyways My Everything and Dangerous Woman (Aka Pop Powerhouse Ariana) slayed me the most

However she sprinkled a few bops in Sweetener and TUN (No Tears, GIAW, Breathin, 7 Rings, Bloodline, Bad Idea) whereas in Positions a pure Pop bop is non-existent (which is why I can't say there's much for me to enjoy since I'm not a big fan of rnb).

I feel like it was just rushed. Bottom line cut and dry. Positions is the same. I have only seen one photo shoot, and the cover came from those 5-10 photos. Haven’t seen the booklet so I can’t judge that.

Granted COVID changed things. But she could have easily had a safe (testing, quarantine, & masks), socially distanced photo shoot to give proper visuals (photo shoot wise, positions video is great visually).
