Probably because that older generation brainwashed their kids to follow the same garbage, look what happens when you indoctrinate children.

Not really. The generation of my grandfather were not focalised by religion in their everyday life, they had another life outside of religion. Then my father's generation barely practiced and if they did ud never know about it cus they kept it personal. Then suddenly the 40s somethings are the ones who started going downhill, so I would 75' generation

Chile then don't be Islamophobic wtf

There are 1.8 BILLION Muslims in the world, and these extremists do not represent them. Nor do authoritarian governments.

Your argument that you're not Islamophobic because Muslim people are actually bad is... it's gross sis

Call me whatever. Anything I say has a real-life basis. If the natural cause/effect situation puts me in an Islamophobic situation, it's simply me reacting to what has been done, for which I feel zero guilt about.

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

If there are billions of Muslims, maybe they should stop burying their head and vs calling every problem as "not real Islam". Their own extremism is not for the rest of us to solve, even with destructive western imperialism in effect. I am not uninformed in this subject at all, and I mostly see the western perception of Islam (the one where liberals think it's all peaceful and good stuff) as laughing stock because what happens in reality in countries like mine is not that, not even remotely. Most of our realities are worse than that.

we need Islamic religious and international leaders to condemn these actions in the strongest terms but sadly I do think Erdogan and others have simply stoked the fire into a blaze.

What we need is no religion.

This. It's so easy to say "oh this guy is not a real christian/muslim/whatever" instead of acknowledging that the social institution that you followed your whole life has issues and must be reformed and subjected to secular control.

The man told his father "Im going to go the same thing than Nice" the father called the cops when the man left and was in front of a church with a knife but got arrested in time thanks to the father's call.

It's not the end of it apparently

In Lyon, an afghan man with a 30cm knife was at a street where there was an attack in 2019 before. He was arrested in time and there were no victims thankfully. But things are happening fast I cant keep track

I just looked it up, he's not the current prime minister, but he was from 1981 to 2003 and from 2018 to March of this year :saladga:

:rip: The fact that he returned to the post...as if one term wasn't enough.

great, I agree, but also we need western leaders, like the current president, to condemn white supremacy and leaders of Christian religions to condemn radical Christians putting their beliefs over other people’s livelihoods.

OT: This vile act of violence based on beliefs and a feel of superiority over people who are indifferent to your opinion and your beliefs of what is right has to stop. It‘s truly worrisome to see society be so divided in every aspect.

and which social institution is that? i've never been to a mosque or read the Quran where it tells me as a muslim to kill anybody. I remember in the Rihanna thread where ppl were being Islamaphobic many of us agreed that religious extremists and non-religious extremists, on both ends, are problematic. Like why was France showing pictures of a respected figure on government buildings, for what..., to incite something? And why are these "muslims" beheading people. At the end of the end innocent people are being targeted and dying in between all of this.

I’m proud of this dad for turning his son in...too often nothing is done until it’s far too late
