I already voted so now I get to spend 10 days worrying. :spin:

I voted at the end of September, I’ve been worrying for a month now. :saladga:  Thankfully I know my state (Virginia) is pretty much fully behind Biden. I’m hopeful because of the polls but we all know how 2016 went... :selena: :madge:

For a good time, ask me about my doggo!

I early voted last week. I live in rural North Carolina so the majority will definitely go to Trump. But my main concern is ensuring our current governor doesn't get tossed out in favor of Trump incarnate. We would be greatly screwed if Dan Forrest became the gov of this great state.

Democrats have continued to dominate the initial balloting, but Republicans are narrowing the gap. GOP voters have begun to show up as early in-person voting, a sign that many heeded President Donald Trump’s unfounded warnings about mail-voting fraud.

On Oct. 15, Democrats registrants cast 51% of all ballots reported, compared with 25% from Republicans. On Sunday, Democrats had a slightly smaller lead, 51% to 31%.

Can someone explain this to me? Do you have to affiliate yourself to a party to register to vote in the US?

You do not. In some states, you need to have a party affiliation to vote in the primaries, but as far as I know, you don't need to have any party affiliation for the general election in any state.

You understand that Biden has a better shot of winning Texas than Trump does at winning Michigan, right?

Plus I think Biden has more chances at winning Texas than Trump has at winning Penn. Jill doesn't know what Kanye is smoking

I voted back on October 9; California lets people vote really early in the cycle. If you can get your vote in now. We are talking about the future of our nation here; this isn’t something to procrastinate on but a civic duty. The only way we can stay a free country is if citizens engage in their civic duty and VOTE!

My predictions:

AZ - Biden; FL - Biden (Trump has not been ahead of Biden in the RealClearPolitics average of polls there since April, but was ahead of Clinton in the RCP multiple times back in 2016, and was polling ahead of Clinton 9 days before the election [1]); NH - Biden; NV - Biden; NC - Trump (maybe via cheating, but he will be declared its winner); PA/WI/MI/MN - We won’t find out election night (PA, for example, won’t count mail-in ballots until a day before election day) but Biden will eventually get them; OH - Trump; CA - Biden; AL - Trump
