Why would you want another, at this point, tired disco album?

It's not tired -_- the disco trend lately is good and giving me life during this covid times. Disco a la Doja Cat, The Weeknd and Kylie Minogue's upcoming "Disco" is most welcomed. So you prefer another trap RnB pop? I can't.

You're really asking this on a platform containing predominantly gay men :trollga:

Ma’am

The industry has been ruined by moody/trap/depressing music since 2016

Disco has been a trend since maybe last year? And we’ve got, what, Dua? Lizzo? Who else?

Anyways, disco is great and energetic. I’d rather have “tired” music than music that makes ME tired :gaysia:

Tbh agreed. The revival held promise but I haven't heard a disco album and/or song that really blew me away yet. They're a bit, to use a certain legend's word, reductive.

NOW do I think an 80s rock-disco sound ala Blondie could work like what Miley sounds like she's interested in? Absolutely. That is something I am here for. But I think disco requires a lot more charisma than some of the folks out here today have. Folks have been cribbing disco a bit too much off and on the past few years that the trend didn't even get to crest before I was tired of it

Contessa

The mental gymnastics being done over a snippet that barely gives any true hint to what the song actually sounds like. :ladyhaha:

FentyGa

some of y’all are really in here criticising the whole r&b genre and grouping it in with trap as though they’re same thing....it comes of very racially insensitive, lemme just say that:icega:

i beg to differ:icega: giaw is her best song

although i’d prefer an r&b album than more trap-pop

Idk if this was including me but I’d much rather have r&b than trap or whatever you call the trend of the late 2010s.

Personally I want big choruses. That’s all I want. Idc for the genre, if you can’t give me a big explosive chorus, then I’ll group you in the “boring as ****” section.

There are exceptions, but they’re too rare to mention.
