No one is angry at her because she is doing a lingerie runway and using a song for it .The problem is the song she has chosen was offensive and this is a big event it is not like they didn't know about this. What is worst is she used this song before as well. If you dont have any religion that is ok but this still doesn't give you right to question other people's POV. You are questioning my PoV though, quite a lot. I don’t see a problem with that. It’s part of being in a debate/discussion. I will say, what I truly despise these days is this “stay quiet”/“shut up” thing going on where people can’t actually question anything “out of respect for people who may be offended”. You have all the rights in the world to be offended. I also have the rights to respectfully question what I feel is wrong. Just like religions, I will not be silenced though. Or censored. brucee 1,690
I didn't understood what happened. Can someone explain to me (sorry if I seem unsensitive but I don't get what's wrong in the vid nor what's a Hadith) hello hello baby.

I just said stop disrespecting people that means "stop disrespecting people" what is not to get? Hyoha 1,613
Just now, Jung Hoseok said: I just said stop disrespecting people that means "stop disrespecting people what is not to get. I literally said it is ok to whatever view you have no one is attacking you for your beliefs but you are attacking a religion because you don't agree with it.That is the difference. I am not attacking anyone. Let’s be very clear about this. My belief is that religions do more harm than good nowadays, for a number of reasons that will take me too long to specify here. All religion. In this post, I felt like it was my duty to clarify that there was absolutely nothing wrong, in my point of view, with the performance, the song choice or the song even existing. I am also clarifying that people who are offended by this kind of thing obviously wish that such criticism on religion would cease to exist, which, in my point of view, is oppressive. If you feel like you’re being attacked by me because I think differently than you and I make it clear as to why, that wasn’t my intention (but I also won’t be silenced). Also, relax - my opinion on religion won’t dismantle it, won’t make people less religious by itself and won’t harm your way of life. Religion is what does that to people who don’t culturally fit the mold.
Meruk Holland 2,296
All this outrage just seems like a brand of cultural appropriation outrage. It'd have been fine if a Muslim woman had done this, but not a non-Muslim.
brucee 1,690
aww ok the song is a prayer or something like that... Even for a non believer and anti-religion/ pro spirituality person like me... I honestly think this is insensitive, more than groundbreaking and positively outrageous. 5 minutes ago, Meruk Holland said: All this outrage just seems like a brand of cultural appropriation outrage. This thread would've never swerved off the road if you guys didn't leap from a few people questioning Rihanna's sync choice to Islam being an oppressive religion but you can't help yourselves. Lol it’s actually disingenuous to pretend like being offended by harmless artistic statements like this doesn’t reveal a wish that it, and all forms of ‘sacrilegious art’, would cease to exist. That, or pretend like they’re not virtue signalling to appease people who are feeling victimized, but not actually being victimized.

I cant believe people here are this Islamaphobic and ignorant. If Rihanna had done something homophobic 90% of people here would already burried her alive but i guess some of you think being atheist or being from another religion gives you right to mock it. And don't ever dare pulling "aLL rEliGiOns aRe wAcK" bs ever again most of y'all here pushing 30s but acting like edgy teenagers . You are not cool you sound ignorant asf It should be okay and important to criticize Islam and Christianity, even as an atheist. You are the one acting like a child! 3 hours ago, mauvais said: While people obviously shouldn't be killed for depicting Muhammad, the Hebdo shooting made me sympathic to sensible people who don't feel comfortable with others depicting their prophet because I am a normal person... it's not hard, I promise. You sympathize with people who are willing to kill in the name of religion? WTF?! I am a Muslim and while I did get offended by how the prophet was mocked, my sympathy did not go to radical Muslims 1 hour ago, Jung Hoseok said: Quran exactly says the way they should cover themselves.I am muslim I know I am a Muslim and studied religion. Gaga is a christian herself, this would’ve been different if Rihanna was a muslim
Kattys 4,319
Ok so hear me out. People here are suddenly offended just because it’s islam. So I give you this: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/may/06/woman-arrested-poland-posters-virgin-mary-rainbow-halo-plock So what are you going to say about that? LGBTQ+ community here is trying to raise awareness on how catholic church is harming our country and LGBTQ+ people, and the fact that we combine rainbow flag with any religious image is firing up their a**. Personally I love it I am tired of religion dictating everything in my country and in the world.

First I want to point out how horrible it is that you are being accused of promoting ISIS Terrorism and Islamophobia! You can criticize Islam and say its violent even if I disagree with you as a Muslim myself. Truth is many religious people do agree with the violent interpretation of the religion and its important to bring this up (in a none islamophobic way) to reform the religion. @PartySick In my opinion he said nothing wrong. The verse you used is in the context of war and self defence. Here is what the Quran specifically says about people who mock Islam: Quran Verse (4:140): "And it has already come down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah [recited], they are denied [by them] and ridiculed; so do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation.". People usually project themselves into their religion and use it to justify their actions. If people want to kill, they will do it anyway weather religion exists or not.
