Enigma is such a great song

Chromatica has so many gems on the album (Replay, 911, Rain on Me) but one song I feel that is a little underrated but also such a great song is Enigma. Enigma was one of the first songs on the Chromatica album that I really fell in love with, and I just fell in love with both Gaga’s vocals and the retro dance music sound that the song brings.

As we all know, Gaga is so passionate about music, but whenever I listen to Enigma, I feel so much passion from Gaga. I don’t know why I feel this but I just feel so empowered by Gaga’s vocals in this song, and how she seems to put so much intensity into the song and it’s meaning. I also feel Enigma is vocally Gaga’s best song on the album, and her vocals on Enigma still give me goosebumps whenever I listen to Enigma.

I also just love the musical sound of Enigma as well. I love it’s cinematic moments during the versus and pre-chorus, and how it changes to such an amazing dance song, with the chorus having such an amazing beat to dance to. I also love the retro sound the song brings into the dance chorus and how the chorus is so catchy that it makes you want to dance. I can’t remember what song Enigma reminds me of :poot: but I remember it had a very special dance beat and for me, Enigma has a very similar dance feel in its chorus.

Enigma is, in my opinion, a great song and one of Chromatica’s best songs. I just love the vocals, the passion, the dance music, the 90’s vibe and the transition to Replay, and I am so grateful for Gaga to release this song. What do you think of Engima, do you think is a great song on Chromatica? :hug:

This and Babylon are the most authentically 90s sounding songs on the album, I love the chill yet anthemic house vibe. It somehow manages to be laid back and cool but also upbeat and powerful at the same time.

It’s a real gem alright. There’s just something so powerful about her vocals and infectious with the melody. Such a good song

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

It REALLY is, I just realized the other night how AMAZING the word Enigma is, like this iconic show in Vegas was the name of this amazing song :firega:

Enigma is my favorite song from Chromatica.

Second is Replay, Alice and Babylon.

Not a big fan of the rest.

It really is and you are right that is often overlooked. :bradley:  The vocals blow you away (a Perfect Illusion situation but done 100x better and easier on the ears) and the melody is so beautiful.

The 90’s sound is amazing in both tracks and I so agree with the songs being so chill but so upbeat and powerful at the same time. It adds so much dynamic and interest in both songs.

Thank you. This cult site always overhypes the most odd songs and pay iconic songs like Enigma dust. Enigma is a masterpiece.

The lyrics remind me of being at her live shows and the special connection she has with her fans. Really love this song and her vocals on it. Can't wait to hear it live someday, man I miss it.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

Is it just me or is Enigma very Electro Swing inspired production wise as well?

Yes, it is a shame Enigma is so over looked. I do agree with the Perfect Illusion comparison as the vocals on both songs are just so powerful, and both have so much passion and intensity behind the songs as well.

Yes, Enigma is truly a gem on Chromatica and was just a song that a fell in love with on first listen. I mean, I love most of the fan favourites (Replay, 911 etc) but Enigma is a song that deserves the love as well. Engima truly is a masterpiece.
