How is it self entitled to want to literally PAY MONEY to buy merch? It’s not some magical free gift. It’s a way for them to make money off the song. In the case of making CDs, cassettes and vinyl. It’s really just slapping some images and printing the media. It’s not like Gaga herself has to do anything at all in order for them to make money off the song with the merch. More money from the merch also means the album was more profitable, which means more projects getting green kit and funded in the future. This is a business still after all... And judging from the fact promo for Chromatica got constantly pushed around, “plan A turned to B, C, D” etc; I think Sour Candy was supposed to be bigger at the time. Hence a “fast” lyric video rollout. I think the music video was supposed to come earlier; BP’s album was originally set to release in August I believe. I am speculating the SC video is coming in October which will be awesome for both Gaga and BP (and I’m hoping the BP version has another verse, totally feels cut up right now). So like, things can come later...anyyyywaaays I wouldn’t entirely rule out 911 right now with how unpredictable this cycle has been. It really bothers me that she’s (most likely) going to stop now - Stupid Love and Rain On Me sold out like hotcakes so it’s not like their profit wasn’t made. Fans want them.
