Ngl, this kinda feels disrespectful

I would not necessarily say disrespectful, when he did it for the first time with Highest Love was a cute remix (and peobably her label asked him to do it and to label this way as a collab)...but the fact hes done it three times in a row feels wrong. Enough is enough.

I can already hear the same production once again. I loved Kygo when he was new but now he’s just recycling and recycling over and over again. The Whitney one was actually a bop, but the Tina one was literally him putting his basic production under the song. Sad.

I agree, I used to be a big fan of his misic but his most recent stuff is boring and plain bad. I only like a couple songs off his recent album.

I've had enough, bye Kygo. Higher Love was great but I couldn't stand his version of What's Love Got To Do With It. His production always sounds exactly the same and he hasn't grown at all as an artist. He keeps trying to recreate the one hit wonder of Higher Love.

Like older music has a depth to it, but when it’s getting remixes the depth just goes out of place, and istgawd if someone would make an EDM remix of Madonna’s 80’s hits i would cry and not in a good way, sure i like some newer EDM but i don’t want older hits to be remixed like that

No one tell Bad Gurl Madge i wanted to do a house remix for Like A Prayer last year :billie:

and I oop I didn't think I was going to be the only one excited about this :bear:

His versions of Higher Love and What's Love Got to Do With It were great bops.

I don't think the only way we can show respect for artists is to leave their work alone. Stuff like this keeps their legacies alive idg why y'all think it's disrespectful. I'm sure these wouldn't happen if anyone had major objections?

His Whitney one was good and I liked it, his Tina one wasn’t good and was BARELY a remix he legit just added some extra drums and percussion then made a vocal chop music break which was meh.

But unless it’s gonna be an amazing modern disco remix I don’t want it tbh

Exactly if the artist/their labels/families would not approve, this would not happen. I think its unfair to blame Kygo exclusively

I'll never understand the "I personally don't like this music so it shouldn't be created for anyone" mentality

Sisters, if it's not your tea just move on :triggered:

He needs to move on to doing his own work...he is just ruining classics

Not talking about that, I’m talking about Kygo’s new lazy production that sounds all the same on every song, if he would do that with Like A Prayer i would never forgive Madonna for letting him, but your remixes are usually better since they differ in instrumental

Kygo is a joke. Has no creativity to make original music so he has to **** up classics with his predictably basic production. Let’s see what his ghost producers come up with.

(Not 80's but eh.)

Okay but, imagine if someone remixed Frozen to sound like this:

I swear he's just being lazy now :neyde:

The Tina Turner one was ugly

The Whitney one was a serve

But I'm not here for this one
