The Most Iconic Madonna Interview that you Need to Watch

Why this is iconic:

It was the most censored episode of a TV show in television history at the time.

Madonna purposefully acted rebellious on the show as a way to fight against TV censorship.

Madonna also overstayed her time of the show, which caused later acts to be cut.

Madonna has never apologized for this interview (which I love), and she has defended herself multiple times.

That's why she's the best :laughga: Also, she went back to Letterman's show several times after this interview and they've been able to laugh it off.

Thatโ€™s also showing a really hypocritical side of America... like, they all have guns under their pillows and no one bats an eye, but theyโ€™reย unable to hear the word **** late on television :duck:ย Itโ€™s never a good sign when a society considers words more dangerous than weapons. Props to Madonna for being a bad bitch, then, now and forever.

I looove this interview. It was in the middle of Bedtime Stories era or it was before the album? Because this era have such a "clean image" and this interview is sooo savage (in a fantastic way)

I love the part where the crew is telling him something and sheโ€™s like โ€œis something wrong?โ€ And he says something sarcastic and then she goes โ€œis it because I keep saying f*ck?โ€ย :lmao:

This was six months prior to the Bedtime Stories era. This interview took place just over two weeks after I'll Remember was released.
