Actually yes, come to think of it. But not necessarily for the music itself but because if I just need an album to listen to that I know I’ll like, Gaga albums do that. They don’t require moods for me to be into them. So I’m that regard, having new, easy music to get into was great.

I still remember the day it came out and i didn’t sleep for over 24 hours because I was so full of dopamine and adrenaline from actually getting a new dance Gaga experience :ladyhaha: I still listen to it daily too. Helps me get myself up and going when I feel like I want to stay in bed all day

Franch Toast

The GGD community has helped me a lot, but if I am being honest, Chromatica itself hasn't really played a huge role in my pandemic coping beyond chatting about it with you all. I don't listen to music a lot at home and listen to it more when I am driving, so if anything, I haven't listened to the album as much because I'm not driving a lot these days.

However, my Jazzercise class has choreographed routines to "Stupid Love" and "Rain on Me," and working out to those songs (from home, cuz Franch ain't setting foot in a fitness center right now) makes me super happy. "Rain on Me" was in today's set, and it totally cheered me up. I can't wait to dance to it with my classmates in person when it's safe.

In terms of art that has helped me through the pandemic, it's mainly been books and occasionally streaming things. In the early days of the pandemic, I did listen to a lot of nostalgic music from the '90s, and that was therapeutic. And Gaga's "At Home Together" performances, and the concert in general, was something I really appreciated back in the spring Her social media posts about the pandemic cheered me up a lot, and seeing her staying at home most of the time and wearing a mask when she goes out just like the rest of us also was comforting.

This is not to diminish Chromatica. I love the album and enjoy listening to it, and I've rewatched her VMAs performance numerous times. And since the pandemic doesn't seem to be going anywhere and I imagine we're headed for more lockdowns, I'm grateful to have the album and hope we'll have more performances from it to comfort us during the darkness ahead.

Oh, and if I am being fully honest, Haus Labs has been super comforting too! Makeup can be a form of self-care, and I'm excited about the new products, even if I'm only wearing them to the grocery store or for a Zoom meeting.

Many people are struggling with depression and anxiety right now. This album has helped me and I think it has helped many. It is meant to uplift and make people smile. It is based around a frame of mind/place called Chromatica. It is a place where people are open about their insecurities, they support each other, they can heal, they can love, they can be brave, they are about inclusivity, and fight to be happy and have fun. Some of this is how she has described it. Sounds like a wonderful place - a place that is desperately needed right now.

Definitely! Not just her, but all the artists I adore that released new music this year helped made my year a bit better.

No, because the album came out when quarantine was over where I live. Basically, my country is fully open with almost no restrictions. Infections are rising, but most people are asymptomatic and hospitals are almost empty. I'm a teacher and we started school this week like a normal school year so I don't really feel any different. I could have used Chromatica in March/April when we were still in quarantine and when everybody was scared.
