But to put something out that reads more like a singles collection, have the singles flop and the album, well...that is a bad sign. Kesha "flopped" with High Road, but the album itself was far more cohesive and engrained in her artistry than Smile seemed to be for Katy. Idk, I'd much rather see Katy flop with a project that is inherently and unapologetically her than a project that just seems unsure of itself. What bout u guys? The album is really short. Maybe give it a chance one day when you have time. I personally recommend it. It’s cute. There’s some really good songs. It’s a Katy Perry album. They can barely get a single to chart and their album's debut week in the top 10 drops like a stone the next week. I never thought that would be Katy while she's still in her 30's but here we are. At this point, she needs to make Cry About It Later an official single with a proper music video as it's the only album track that's gaining a real bit of traction and if that doesn't work, just call it a day on the whole project.
