Oh I didn’t realize Gaga actively made excuses for pedophiles, rapists, and murderers. I also didn’t know that Gaga laughed at and blocked fans on social media for asking her to speak up against said pedophiles, rapists and murderers.

You see the difference? Nobody was calling Gaga out in 2013 about Kelly (except for very few fans) because rape culture wasn’t brought to the front and center of society’s attention. So when society finally caught up, people did start dragging Gaga (even the majority of her fan base) for her collaborating with Kelly. And what did she do immediately after? She deleted the song from all music media, and then re-released ARTPOP without the track.

not trying to come at you or anything, just trying to shed some light on the matter.

that’s like saying, “I know rape is wrong, but I’m not going to say anything because no one cares about it at this time.”

to make matters worse, she goes to release TIHTY a year later. She made a mistake. We as a fan base have seen her make a mistake. Thankfully, she acknowledged her mistake. Now we can move forward.

we cannot sit here blatantly ignore what she did do and shame other artists for doing the same thing.

Once again, when you look at the context, Gaga was not sending the same message as Nicki.

Gaga is a rape survivor herself, and she collabed with a well known rapist on a song that literally says "Do what u want with my body". She KNEW what she was doing. It was a literal FU in his face, she was mocking him. It's the same mindset as a black person reclaiming racist terms (best example : Rupaul wearing a confederate flag dress in a movie).

Of course it wasn't ok. The intent was making outrageous art, and she crossed a line. But as a rape survivor herself, it was her place to do something like that. Not to mention she was in a bad mental state at the time and this was literally a (bad) way for her to cope.

On the other hand, you got Nicki who thrives off the "criminal bad guy" vibe. She hangs out with this disgusting **** and thinks that makes her look badass. There's no artistic message in her collabing with him, she OPENLY SUPPORTS HIM AS AN INDIVIDUAL. Not to mention she LITERALLY dates a sexual assaulter AND defends her rapist brother.

Don't you see the difference in gravity?!

So you’re literally saying Gaga did the same thing as 6ix9ine and Nicki? She’s done so much in the past 6 years and has already apologized for her mistakes, you are Not a Gaga fan at all, why are you here?

*There’s not artistic message that you know of. The point of many artistry is to mask the intention as best as possible. And do you really think that’s what Gaga did? Intentionally collaborated with a guy to tell him “FU”?

No, I’m saying that she made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes. No one’s perfect. Why are you going to be hypocritical and support one mistake over another when they’re equivalent? Collaborating with a rapist is the same as collaborating with another racist. There’s no difference.

Gaga may have apologized, but she still collaborated with a known rapist. I love her to death and will continue to support her, but I will never be ignorant to excuse her mistakes.

Lol I think this may be the last era where he is gonna have his mucis do decent. Nicki really helped him a lot. TBH if he thinks he is that great of an artist he shouldnt need these platform to promote his music, the work itself should guide fans to it.

If you don't get the irony behind singing "Do what u want with my body" as a rape survivor on the same track as a rapist, you're just dense
