Everyone's biology is different, it's possible she did track her nutrients and supplemented correctly, and it still didn't agree with her body? I agree that her saying she was "malnutritioned" makes it sound like all vegan diets are unhealthy, though, and that is a problem because they can be done correctly. I think that's what she meant. She did say that she believed it could work for other people, so it's just people's fault for not reading. The only GGD member who can read / Credits to Celloo Deng for the profile pic! Chromatography 10,186
drinking a shot of whiskey in the morning and having plain rice and a handful of chips does not make a vegan meal. not saying she did exactly this but typically the people who can’t tolerate veganism make no effort to ensure they’re actually not starving themselves of necessary nutrients

StrawberryBlond 14,817
We really should take people more seriously when they say that they felt malnourished on a vegan diet. Yes, some thrive on it but not everyone's body is the same. This cannot be emphasised enough. A complaint I hear from many ex vegans is that when they ate meat, they were always full and only thought about food occasionally but on a vegan diet, they were constantly hungry and all they could think about all day was food. That is a sign that you aren't getting enough nutrients, period. And even when the answer is just to eat more, some vegans said they were really backed up from all that fibre and had to eat huge portions of everything in order to feel satisfied. Despite what vegans tell you, that is not a healthy or natural lifestyle. And it's definitely not sustainable to be eating constantly in large amounts. If the whole world went vegan, there wouldn't be enough food to go around as everyone's eating the same thing and we couldn't grow enough trees and suchlike. Life is for living. Feeding yourself should not be a full-time job nor should you be ingesting umpteen expensive supplements a day to cover the nutrients that you're not getting naturally. Vegans tell you their lifestyle is so natural yet they use man-made blenders, man-made unnatural vegan replacement foods and man-made supplements. It’s also funny to me because I have literally experienced the opposite. When I ate meat I was always sooo hungry after dinner, because we could only afford to have one chicken breast each a couple nights a week, and I always wanted more even tho we paired it with brown rice, salad, roasted potatoes etc. I am much more satisfied now because the ten dollars that we would pay for two chicken breasts gets stretched way further on vegetables and starches. We always have enough food to not be hungry after our meal. anyway I really think celebrities should keep their diets to themselves, there will always be some kind of backlash

It's very serious. I take human reactions to their diets very seriously and unlike a lot of vegans, I understand that every body is different and can't all eat the same things to be healthy. It's always the same - vegans telling you that you "just didn't do veganism right." The ironic thing is that when all these vegan YouTubers were really into it, all their vegan fans were saying how great and delicious all their vegan recipes were. Then when they announced they were no longer vegan and stated that they couldn't get enough nutrients from their diet, these same fans say they didn't do it right. That's their answer for everything. And I have looked into veganism intently and that's why I'll never be a part of it. It seems like a never-ending list of issues for the majority of people who try it no matter how well they try to do it.

PartySick 159,820
I really want to know why people don't consider fish to be meat Veganism is my long term goal. I've cut so much meat and sugar out of my diet over the past few months and I honestly feel great. 🌸Flourishing and vibrant🌼
