Wasn't 5 weeks at #1 enough for her? I'm not even the biggest Katy fan nor do I think Smile's the best album ever but even I think it's just as deserving (for what it's worth, I gave both albums the same rating) but I think Katy's is a bit more listenable. Another album deserves that spot now. Taylor is so money hungry. She doesn't even seem that bothered that it's clearly just crazy fans buying the album over and over again to get all the different editions. LOL why does it bother you so much. If people are buying it then people are buying it. It’s not about “who deserves”

This album does not need a sixth week at the top, its only managed to do that anyway as there's been no other big releases all these weeks. 5 minutes ago, Kimmo said: Is called Marketing Strategy, if it was our favorite we would be praising the act Gaga only did that kinda stiff with C2C in the debut week. That's fine but doing it 6 weeks later when you know there's other artists trying to make a good debut (and one of them is Katy, the singer you've supposed to have kissed and made up with is trying to make a comeback with her new album this week) is just not playing fair. She claims that she's made up with Katy and then pulls this trick on her debut week. It's just low.

Is Gaga "money hungry" for selling Chromatica soap in a pandemic and restocking the ROM vinyls after her VMA performance? is Cardi B money hungry for releasing all those WAP alternative covers? or Katy? it's not Taylor's fault she not only has a dedicated fanbase that supports her enough to keep her multiple weeks at #1, but also enormous GP appeal that is interested in her music. if anything the others should take notes if they want to beat her. and accusing her of cheating because a random store received 90 signed copies who will love me when the night is over

Imagine saying Smile deserves that #1 over Folklore in terms of quality Why is it wrong that people like Taylor's music over Katy's to keep buying Folklore? What if tomorrow I see you again? Should I say that I used to love you?
Eddie 2,518
Oh right because music industry is plotting against Katy Perry to get rid of her, what a M Night Shyamalan conspiracy theory someone got here. I wouldn't call it cheating, I'd say it's strategic and smart... every artist going is doing bundles - it's just that with Taylor, the demand is there, the same isn't true for Katy... LORD GAGA 1,271
Thats quite the achievement! Does nobody think its a bit odd though that the album is doing so well... yet the singles are tanking? Surely if people love the album people would also be supporting the singles? MessyTop 14,389
She’s also helping small independent music stores. And again, nobody is forcing anyone to buy anything. at least the signed CDs have an actual signature , not “z” or a check mark. I don’t understand the hate that people have here towards Taylor. It’s easy, if you don’t like her, don’t buy her music, don’t watch her videos, and ignore the threads that celebrate her successes “Haters gonna hate hate hate...”
