Was it perfect? Nope, but that shows that it was actually "live" (as in, live when the filmed it as opposed to her lip syncing). I loved the set as well, and the storyline with her sliding down the pole out of quarantine to perform. And the masks were an excellent addition in my opinion. We're still in the middle of a freaking pandemic, and Gaga found a way to transform masks into high fashion and make them blend seamlessly with her performance, while also serving as a reminder – to younger viewers especially – for everyone to wear their damn masks. If Gaga, Ariana, and their dancers can do it while belting out songs and dancing their little tushes off, you can do it going to the grocery store. I was on the fence about buying Chromatica Ball tickets before, but this performance made me say, Franch, what's wrong with you? Of course you need to buy CB tickets! Yass Franchie, come to the CB and let's dance to 911 together!
JusKeepBreathin 19,311
I loved Gaga herself her energy and stage presence are really present and strong. I also loved her outfits. But I felt a bit underwhelmed with the set and camera angles. It a little meh. Which weird. I wasn't Paparazzi live or even Love Game/Pokerface at the Much music awards. The acoustic SL kind of interrupted the energy for me. Once Stupid Love transitioned to the album version the live "oh oh oh oh oh"s in the chorus sound really out of place and should just be handled by a backing track. I'm sure SL will get better over time though. Loved everything else, especially the live band for 911 Really? Stupid Love was the one I enjoyed the most with Rain On Me The vocal slayage alone scalped me, and I think it translates extremely well on piano. It takes on a new meaning... combined with the version we know well... its like going from a ballad into a carefree song to let loose. I imagine Gaga being really down writing Stupid Love on the piano, and then it blossoming to a full on dance party to blow the lows away and turning it into highs. Plus, dem vocals were on point. Ziggy 11,326
911 shouldn't have choreography. I could see it a bit like the iTunes Fest Aura where she did it suspended or SXSW on the spit roast. I think the song benefits from something strong visually like that and not dance-y (from her).

For me stupid love (piano) was the weakest part ,but the album version was great. rain on me performance was fabulous & iconic. And 911.. damn, it stole the most attention for me, and I really enjoyed it..
High King 640
The only thing that sounded off in 911 was the “my biggest enemy is me” line, it sounded nasaly and whiny.
Anderson123 37,519
I loved the performance but yeah I was expecting 911 vocals to sound like that ever since I listened to it the first time. It's one of those songs that doesn't always sound good live due to the effects on her voice, like Judas and Heavy Metal Lover. I still think she did an amazing job given the circumstances and having to sing live, dance and wear a mask.

dynamite 53,962
I enjoyed 911 but I see what you're saying, it reminded me of some Poker Face performances where the verse vocals sounded a bit weird because she tried to do them like a robot but without any effect. LORD GAGA 1,271
You needed a thread for your opinion on her performance? Personally I thought it was a stellar performance all around and I'm very pleased with it. Gimme 1 sec Chile, imma go make a thread on why this thread is not needed. flyaway 15,350
911 sounded a little weak, but she gets a free pass because first of all, this a tricky song to perform. The delivery and the vocals used on the song are not easy to do live. Second, she had a freakin' mask on! That didn't help- And of course the choreo made it hard, but still she delivered. Stupid Love Oh, I've loved it since day one. And I'm glad to see the haters lovin' it now It sounds awesome as a rock banger.

I don't need to explain to you something that should be common knowledge, but GGD is an open site for people to discuss opinions and things. Its why we have a section dedicated to people sharing their opinions about what Gaga does. If you liked the performance great, so did I. But we can, we are allowed, and we will share our opinions if we so wanted to do so. There is nothing wrong with a little criticism lmao. You didn't have to comment if you didn't agree with me, thats on you. But you do you End Racism Now

I'm not shading anyone but I do think this is needed, for all of her big performances or events. I don't know why there needs to be 30 threads with different opinions versus one centralized opinion thread, which doesn't clog up the forum.
