That doesn’t sound too far fetched since I’m pretty sure all 3 of them said before this new one was announced that they wouldn’t immediately jump onto a new movie unless they felt it honored Wes’ vision... That’s usually the month studios pick when they want to release their trash movies so they don’t clash with good release dates.
