Do people actually not like it or is some fanbase sabotaging it?

So many moments made me smile- creative and fun and made me feel like I was dancing in the sexy underbelly disco scene in the jetsons. Groovy af I love it.

I'd only heard that Levitating remix and it was just as underwhelming as most Chromatica remixes released officially...

I don't know why artists bother to put the forced remix stuff out when their demos are better. Free Woman and Babylon demos say hi.

And it's another reminder that critics are out of touch as usual. I feel like a lot of critical response can be predicted simply by the "image" that the artist they're reviewing has. Chromatica got such positive reviews (mostly) because she's well respected and her dance album was anticipated. If she released the same thing 4 years ago, she'd be crucified for it even though it would sound more current back then.

I like it, I think remix definitely make album become more colorful and joyful. But I think 7.6 is enough. 9.2? Like... Lorde or Fiona Apple's level? :oprah: No...

I agree with this. Music critics don't really judge on music quality itself but the presentation and how welcomed, cool or well-liked the artist is in the moment.

92 it's just too high, I bet after a while it will still hang above 80. Again, this album is nice, but right now when most pop artist album debut on metacritic the critics seens always act like they just prop some kind of game changer of top masterpiece, which is very annoying.

I mean, most of those people that review for meta critic are just some intern stans :toofunny:  their opinion has as much value as anyone’s opinion from here, despite being behind some big publication’s name

I love Dua, but she's very overrated... The album is garbage, it doesn't deserve that rating :haroon:

The bitterness in every Dua thread :billie:

Even Dua’s stans are dragging the sh*t out of this on twitter to be fair:air:

Most hate ive seen for a pop release this year, by FAR.

Which makes these reviews very odd. It’s like if Gaga released a full album of SL vitaclub-like mixes and got these scores. Monsters would be confused as hell.

I don't think people understand this remix album; it's designed to be listened as a continuous experience.
