The 90s should have stayed in the 90s where it belongs. It's a good album but has several shortcomings and felt like Gaga was jumping on a trend for the first time rather than trailblazing one herself.

But nothing has happened. We’ve barely gotten the first performance. :bear:

It’s literally an album from 2011-2019 (chorus-less weak electronic drops) with sprinkles of the 90’s and the worst modern trend of not hitting the 3-minute mark.

Unpack then

Chromatica references a specific era of music, so naturally some people will label it as “dated” and whatnot without really understanding what that term means. It is objectively progressive in using cues from 90s House music to create a new and classic sound, which to me sounds timeless and will only age with grace.

It’s not what some people wanted/expected, or it’s challenging for them to appreciate it perhaps, so they resort to labelling it as “dated” and call it a day. Just what I’ve observed.

i don't remember ARTPOP
