OT: hmmm, well let me think:

1. Every time there is a Beyoncé thread, the comments are PLAGUED with ignorant comments, mocking her education, speaking, and her art when it discusses black empowerment. On atrl, one of the MODERATORS, who was a Gaga stan I believe called Beyonce’s child Blue Ivy a MONKEY. Every time this woman is brought up y’all got something to say, it’s weird.

2. I remember before Gaga collabed with Blackpink, I saw a lotttt of comments about K-Pop that were very... eye brow raising... saying stuff like they can’t tell them apart, little back handed comments thinly veiled as “criticism” but just sounded sooo rude and problematic.

3. Calling The Weeknd a rapper even though he has literally done little to none rap songs

4. The thread about Grammys being racist towards their black nominees and snubbing them and putting them in “Urban” categories, people were willing to DIE on the hill that the grammys were not racist, trying to justify why they didn't deserve it or defend why there’s an “urban” category.

5. The random threads that show videos trying to paint the BLM movement in a negative light even though those are isolated events.

Obviously not the entire fandom is racist but with the constant crap that I see on GGD it’s for sure something that needs to be discussed.

If we're basing this off all users who are LMs (not every) on GGD and Twitter, I would say definitely yes. Like any group of people really though.

I've seen more than a few here on GGD alone defending outright white supremacists, while at the same time looking for any negative thing possible with a person of color

I always hear about LMs being racist on ATRL which I'm curious about but aside from ATRL, I said this last time and I'll say this again 'cause I believe it is relevant to this topic, I do feel like many Black artists on GGD get ignored or when they see a Black artist they ignore it because they expect something like hip-hop, rap music, rnb, etc (as if those music are a bad thing) and no don't even try using liking The Weeknd to push away the topic I'm talking about other artists like for example Chloe x Halle who I believe get ignored because some users automatically associate them with rap

the thing with liddos is that  a pretty loud part of the fandom tend to make disgusting remarks  with racist undertones (or be straight up racist ) in an attempt to "drag" POC artists 

i mean even  a "zero tolerance policy" in another forum was created  because of them 

of course this doesn't apply to the whole fanbase  but the ones that are tend to make the most noise of it on  social media and pop forums compared with other fanbases.

And changing the subject saying 'the whole fan base can't be racist, that generalization is stupid and bad' does not help with the racism problem in the fan base. That's only trying to sweep the problem under the rug
