Would love to know the context of this video though. Surroundimg her like this is a bit ridiculous regardless but something had to cause it.

I guarantee she's not just some random lady whose only offense was eating and minding her own business :huntyga:

From what I understand, these demonstrators went into the diner and ask everyone to put their fist up to show support but this lady doesn't want to so that's why they go screaming on her

As I said, it’s the fault of the system as a whole. It doesn’t not justify celebrating deaths of people.

Nobody talked about celebrating any death here.

BLM protestors generally dont support this kind of behavior. Its just a group of stupid white people thinking this is defending black people.

This. Wrong is wrong.

It is true that cops (black, white, hispanic or whatnot) are not being taught peaceful de-escalation tactics enough, however that is the problem of the system, which has to change, yes. Instead, what the majority (or a vocal minority) of the ACAB moment is doing is celebrating the death of cops, who are people too, which is disgusting. Also, no, cops aren’t taught to “profile and harm black citizens specifically”. If black violence is more prevalent than white/hispanic one, then it doesn’t mean police is taught to target blacks. It just means that your confirmation bias is just a biiiiiit out of control.

I'm no sociologist, but from my understanding, the problem of the prevalence of black violence with police isn't due to the police being taught racist policies, its that racism is ingrained in the society that makes the cops. The cops themselves have racist tendencies or biases absorbed throughout their lives, which aren't corrected or punished (and are possibly reinforced). At least, I think that's how the thought goes. Police aren't taught de-escalation and face fewer consequences for the actions, whether warranted or otherwise. In fact, police are often taught and encouraged to use aggressive and escalating tactics. The two of these put together could explain the higher rate of police violence against black people.

Which is also my understanding of how ACAB ideology works. We've all seen or heard of cops getting a slap on the wrist for things civilians get jail time for. Despite this unfairness, or perhaps because of it, very few police officers care enough to make a fuss about the way the system works or tries to change it. Of course, that could just be because the media isn't reporting on those that are.

On a somewhat related note, I've never understood why the looting was associated with a political movement. The intent of looting always seemed to be opportunistic individuals taking advantage of chaos, as opposed to being a political statement. Further, I feel like the demographic of looters is probably way more closely related to socio-economic status than anything else.

Looting usually is never part of the movement, and I don't know if people who were looting were necessarily marching or if they found an opportunity of chaos to steal because Ive seen that everywhere. There's going to be looting in every single demonstration on the streets it's just the way it is

What OP and others users are doing daily on this forum is political gaslighting. They shed light to the worst of cops’ actions only to discredit them all, when they really are just trying to spread vile hatred. :mark:

I'm not surprised that you say that, coming from someone who's okay with refugees drowning to their death in the sea in order to not reach Greece. I was about to ask, do you it deserves death for someone to walk away from a cop? Your answer should be yes then from your logic. So you do believe, a person deserves suffocation if they walk towards their car. Yes? Do you believe a person deserves death if they resist arrest. Yes? Do you believe a person deserves death if they run away from the police. I assume yes? Do you believe a person deserves death if they use bad words to the cop? I assume yes? So in your thought process, the cops are allowed to take away a life on a whim, and it makes sense because lives are not that important to you? Deaths are normal? Except if you are [insert category of people here]. What a nice person you are!!!! Wow!!!! So amazing!!! Bravo

What’s really harming it is choosing to give attention only to isolated cases of racist

It's okay EVERYBODY! EVERYTHING'S FINE!

It is only isolated CASES of 751 dead AMERICAN CITIZENS in 235 days!!!! As a reminder, a year is 365 DAYS!!! That means cops are doing a great job!!!!! :golfclap:

Oh yeah it definitely happens everywhere else guys!!!!

Germany has 11 deaths since the beginning of this year but it's totally the same. We love the thought process of Miss Anti Refugee. Please enlighten us we are so lost without u. You would definitely make this world a better place I think

Wow... Off topic but okay I guess ?

I'm aware of police brutality. I'm aware that, in some case, it's just a matter of race etc.

But I'm also aware that not every cops is racist and that not every cops is violent.

Just don't put everybody in the same box.

Anyway I'll stop giving my opinion if it's for getting those kind of responses... :saladga:

Does this OP just never respond to any posts after starting these threads?

I've seen similar behavior over a very long period of time that seems consistently disingenuous and flamebaity. :koons:
