Did they already try with Donutgate? Or would they not dare be petty with her after what happened in Manchester? Discuss They tried it with donut-gate coupled with attempting to blow her “I hate America” quote out of context to drum up outrage. I remember some idiots actually saying “Ariana hates America. And she licks donuts too so good riddance’”. But it didn’t stick because it was so ridiculous.

Babel 41,467
Media won’t drag her, but she’ll probably face a decline in popularity when a younger one becomes popular.

She uses the typical male singer strategy – she centers her career on her music rather than visuals. All that said, she's also NOT a diva, and the grace she displayed after Manchester, Mac's death, and ending her engagement with Pete built a TON of goodwill with the public. Even people who don't necessarily like her music respect her. Makes me think of the potential beef she had with 2 Chainz when he said she ripped him off with the 7 Rings cover – she asked him to meet and they ended up recording a song together. Like, she genuinely seems like a sweet, level-headed person who really just loves making music and has no appetite for the other trappings of the industry (including, for example, album covers – all of them are incredibly simplistic because she cares far less about looks than how the music sounds). because of that, i don't really see her ever getting torn up by the media. I think she's going to be a lot like Rihanna and Beyoncé in that regard – she'll have her defectors, but she'll never face the intense backlash other artists have. I think you summed up why beyond Gaga & Taylor, she’s a fave pop girl of mine

SeIena Gomez 1,609
The media doesn’t have any ammo. Yes we could wait till she’s 30 but wait for what? She doesn’t drink, she doesn’t do dr*gs, her paparazzi shots are basically photo shoots. Her personal life would have to fall pretty hard for her to turn to drinking and drugs and if she didn’t turn to them after a whole ass terrorist attack then why would she start anytime soon? Everyone likes to consider Taylor as the “darling of America” but imo it’s Ariana. She’ll never downfall with the media only maybe have some of her work underperform.
