I think this is going beyond the case and people are just jumping on the hate trend rn. From what I know, she doesn't have the best attitude and has a rude feeling while she makes her jokes. But to consider her a monster, that's a different story. 

I think it also has to be with her personal struggles. Maybe she's tired of her show and doesn't handle it properly. Who knows? But whatever it is, people take it out of proportion. There are other things happening in the world that are more important than rude Ellen.

Some people really could benefit from understanding that her status as one of the first openly gay celebrities is relevant, and is part of this conversation. Before all this stuff started I said I stopped watching Ellen because it always felt like lately Ellen was just trying to find ways to make fun of her guests. I guess my assumption was correct.
