They usually cancel shows that don't have enough viewers. So yhat is probably why.

They can't beat around the bush since the longer they wait, the more money they need to spend.

I guess those are the shows that barely passed renewal. The ones that are popular in just a few countries might be at risk.

They actually worked well, but they are canceled because of the covid 19. Since the series were at their first season, they might think they will lose their momentum if they wait too much to release a second season.

On the other hand it took multiple years to have the Kissing Booth 2, and it didn't work and critics were savage with the first movie and the second one, and yet they renewed it for a third movie.

not particularly these ones... something like "One Day at a Time" or something but thanks for the info... covid really be f*cking up a lot of things smh

eh critics don't matter that much anymore, things still get huge without their support... even award bodies give them the middle finger now!

I'm so disappointed on I'm Not Okay With This. It was such a fun show, I binged it all in one sitting (which never happens, thx to my ADD :air:)  buuut I do SORT OF see where Netflix is coming from. COVID is making things a nightmare in terms of now trying to film. WHO knows when they'll be able to/the costs of all these things rack up fast.

Regardless, this and High Fidelity being canceled after one season just totally sucks and I'm sad. We're going to be inside for the foreseeable future in the US, and 2021 is going to be bleak in terms of new content.

Update : the two shows were supposed to start shooting soon BUT actually there are two reasons why Netflix canceled them :

-The budget to shoot during the pandemic would have been too big and they didn't want to wait until the end of the pandemic (that's dumb)

-Some of the main actors for both series actually signed other contracts :selena: and their plannings were becoming too tight.

I never saw The Society I guess I won't now. They canceled One Day At a Time last year I think, but Pop TV picked it up.

Noo that is so disappointing. I Am Not Okay With This was such a fun show. I finished binging it for the 4th time just last night actually, wondering what the status on the next season was :smh:
