Im not uncomfortable i just think that eleven year old girls twerking is innapropriate

There are children being trafficked everyday! I think 11 year olds twerking is pretty minuscule. And let’s not forget that when they do it it’s just for fun and adults are the one who look at it as something sexual. A lot of people might actually learn something by watching this film.

Same I was in a modern dance group as a child so I was around a lot of kids dancing. I don’t think people realize by being outraged by this they are literally sexualizing children’s bodies. Kids just like dancing and they emulated the dancing they see on tv, online, and in person so sometimes they will do a dance that is seen sexual in adults, doesn’t think mean the kids dancing that way is inherently sexual.

Yes, this is the thing for me! I mean I definitely remember watching some dances where I think it went a little too far, but this is definitely a case where I'd have to watch the whole movie to pass judgement. I didn't see anything inherently wrong with the trailer and from the description it seem like there is a commentary on the issue, anyway.

Maybe people are getting caught up on "twerking," which is probably a reductive term for what is actually in the movie.

If it’s supposed to be this fun tween movie 🤪 then why is it rated for mature audiences only

Do you all even read and comprehend? I'm seriously asking.

Google:

Twerking (/ˈtwɜːrkɪŋ/) is a type of dance that came out of the bounce music scene of New Orleans in the late 1980s. Individually-performed, chiefly but not exclusively by women, dancers move by throwing or thrusting their hips back or shaking their buttocks, often in a low squatting stance.

Because it’s inspired by the director’s life and life is not always PG

not that definition leaving out the intent... we all know what it looks like and it’s origin means nothing in this context

Y’all should watch the movie The Hunt, where a man is falsely accused of molesting a local child and his community begins a campaign of harassment, ending with him getting shot. :trollga:

Maybe you should do some research on it instead of posting flamebait that you find on Twitter.
