There's been an Amazon boycott happening for a while know, IDK what you're talking about. People have been speaking out about the workplace conditions of Amazon for a long time.

Regardless, it does't matter if we're "singling out" someone. Anyone who is running bad workplace conditions should be called out for it. End of story. Ellen's getting attention because she's popular and her entire brand is "kindness" and "positivity." It's hypocritical of her to run a place where people are treated unfairly when she speaks about being a good person all the time.

I'm not talking about her behaviour. Like I said in my post, I absolutely believe she is flawed, makes mistakes and acts inappropriate to others sometimes - like all humans. 

I don't think Ellen herself is the scum of the earth, absolutely not, but at the end of the day, it's her show. She needs to be responsible for her actions, that's it. Her producers were probably worse off than she was, but it's still her show. She's still the boss around there. Everything starts from the top.

Why is everyone here acting like Ellen is running Amazon  

As I said in my original post, leadership starts from the top, whether you are running the biggest company in the world or your mom's fish and chips shop with 3 employees. If your employees are creating a toxic environment, it is the leader's responsibility to set it right. Fire your producers. Hold a company wide training session or an emergency staff meeting. Ellen did NOTHING. In fact it sounds like she was complicit in it. What does that say about her leadership?

#1. You asked where the outrage for Amazon was and I told you.

#2. She's addressing the issues because she understands they're issues. She talks about it herself and gives examples. I suggest you refrain from commenting on things that you have no idea about in the future, lest you make yourself look like an even bigger fool.

#3. Your responses are so juvenile and demonstrate that you can't accept being told that you're wrong, even when faced with specific examples.

Girl, she just DID fire her producers, and she's having smaller meetings with ALL of her staff over the next few weeks. That's the whole point of this thread. Can you learn to read before making stupid posts like that?

I read that they’re trying to improve on the situation so these constant calling out is just a waste of energy.

Hmm idk guys, I think she exposed herself pretty good by chalking off her friendship with bush as acceptable because “people can have different opinions and still be friends”. Right okay, so basically it was totally fine to kill all those people in the Middle East with an unjust war because that was his opinion and we should respect that? It’s a joke. I just find it bizarre that she hasn't admitted to her own mistreatment of staff and non-celebs. The whole conversation started (and is still centered) on Ellen's own behavior.

The reason why Amazon is still up and running is because people keep choosing to buy from them. Direct your frustrations towards those people.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Just because Amazon is still doing well doesn't mean that we can't call Ellen out for her bad workplace conditions. By your logic, let's just never call out anyone ever again because companies like Amazon are doing well. Sounds good. Right?
