I can't really pick one but I mostly click with 90s and onward music. Of course there is great music from the 80s and before but that is what I have noticed for myself. 

And idk music currently is kinda exciting even tho gays who listen to the same 5 pop girls since 2010 will tell you otherwise (if you feel like this applies to you that's your problem not mine  ) There is cool and exciting stuff in every era of music.
