I'm not so sure. Hilary lead Trump by 9 points in Florida in the polls. Yet he won by a 1% margins in the general election. I'm still not sure Florida was won in an honest way. Especially with Mr McBaldy aka Rick Scott as governor of FL at the time. There were recounts and problems with Broward county. Thank you for the information. It kinda makes sense, but only because the US elections seem to function like a popularity contest. And I guess putting up a show costs a lot of money. As you stated, here political parties have fairly distributed television advertising time for free. They do rallies and stuff, but it doesn't seem to be about finding funding for them. And instead of trying to lure people with big spectacle, parties here will focus more on divulging their frontline proposed policies, with slogans, posters, and speeches.
