When most of the people mad here are to the left of her, this stuff ain’t appropriate. We don’t trust Kamala to solve the most pressing issues of the day. That’s not something to gloat about...

I can't wait to see Kamala fail to explain her support for Medicare for all and her subsequent flip flop against it.

Gosh people like you are so annoying, it is like complaining about having a papercut when you could instead have had your arm amputated. Get some perspective and see the bigger picture, if all you do is complain then i hope you are happy with 4 more years of corrupt racist misogynistic republicans in power with the racist in chief trump praising white nationalists. Even i preferred Bernie but i recognise he just didn't get the vote out this time round and we have to settle more mildly progressive candidates instead of extremely progressive. It is much better for us to win with biden than to lose with bernie, he just couldn't convince enough voters. Joe is extrmemly popular among voters and the only people who will be responsible if he loses will be trump voters and also people like you who are still falling for the "bOtH sIdEs aRe JuSt As BaD" that you fell for back in 2016

None of this is true.

Older voters swung the election for Biden, and they voted for Biden because every liberal or neo-con commentator on every major cable news show (for whom the average viewer is 50-60+) spent the last five years presenting the notion of a Bernie Sanders candidacy as an electoral disaster and parroted the line that we needed a "moderate" to beat Trump. The DNC met years in advancespecifically to come up with a strategy to prevent him from winningformer Clinton staffers campaigned against him behind the scenes, and while Bernie was running away with the primary initially, the party actively debated changing rules to prevent him from getting the nomination and were willing to split the party in two in order to do it.

All of the other moderate candidates dropped out simultaneously and endorsed Biden while Bernie was winning the primary expressly to stop him from taking the nomination and all of their support flowed to Biden, while the press cheered them on. This was all widely acknowledged.

Biden isn't even popular with the people that are claiming that they're going to vote for him. Most of them have flat out said that they're voting against Trump rather than for Biden.

The only people who will be responsible if he loses are the people that voted for him in the primary. They picked him. If he loses, it's their fault. They got what they wanted and they have to deal with the repercussions.

No words 😶

I mean it’s what I expected but like Joe’s entitled ass really broke the tradition of having a VP that reaches over to the other side of the party. (Progressives in this case)

Ya'll call Joe a rapist and bash him more than the GOP/Trump and you expect him to choose someone from your cult? FOH.

A recent poll shows 59% of voters expect Joe to die or leave office by end of first term.

Im also disheartened that you think opposition to Medicare for all and jailing black men is mildly progressive. Its not.

Black people. Black people chose him. He's the reason he's the nominee. Say it with your whole mouth that you're mad at Black People. Biden was 4th place among White young Progressives like yourself and he was first among the Black primary voters. So unless you want to spout some racist sh*t, then sit down and eat your cake.

It's always hilarious when you people pull this line out as if it's some sort of gotcha, when there are a whole host of institutional roadblocks that prevent young people from voting and old people ACTIVELY voted for this guy. No one is responsible for this guy being the nominee aside from the people that voted for him.

Hard to wait in 8 hour lines to vote when you work 2 jobs and can't take time off to vote like the richer boomer counterparts. Not to mention the misinformation about precinct changes, registration deadlines and mail in ballots.

Since this whole VP thing has been centered almost entirely around identity politics (not really bashing since we need to go through this phase before more equal opp) I hope it’s not too tone deaf to wonder whether people like Obama or Kamala will be remembered for being the first black president/VP or we’ll actually remember them for being biracial? Will future candidates run off of being “fully” black? It’s also interesting how both of them aren't actually ethnic African-Americans, as in their families haven’t been through centuries of generational racial oppression in America.

In the US, both Obama and Kamala are black. People in the US don’t look at Obama and see white. Same with Kamala being bi-racial.

In the US, people tend do go with how the individual “looks”.

(Not saying I agree, but that’s the way it is.)

Lion Heart

I just want Trump out of office. :saladga:

I'm sick of the constant gas-lighting, erosion of our democracy, and full-blown corruption by the Trump administration. Vote him out.

Especially in this political climate it’s just easier for her and others to identify as black. But I’m interested in seeing if she’ll change that if she’s elected.

she can identify however she wants, im just kinda eh about the media totally ignoring the fact that she's half indian too like that's a huge deal

@OG Gaga Stan is Latino I think. Criticism of corporatists isn't white exclusive and many of the great progressive leaders are POC. SIT DOWN.
