Actually nobody is talking about whats in her heart, we are talking about her record and actions. You guys are the one making excuses about her having a change of her and that people change and she had good intentions.

Oooh so the fact that you're cynical makes your argument more valid?

Forgive me for believing that people can actually be public servants. Next!

they way you didn't detect that joke lmfaooo

Cuz it’s not funny. Especially when Kamala ruined countless people’s lives when she sent them to jail for petty crimes. I don’t think that’s funny at all, because I actually care about people and not just ‘winning’.

1,000 Americans die every day from covid but yes let's dwell on California inmate treatment from years ago seems smart

Even though she's apologized for it and released countless updated policy positions on criminal justice

Yes yes let's detract from this historic moment yes very healthy and normal

Donating $6 in @ALGAYDO's name this afternoon to Biden/Kamala — thank you for the sad react spam!

PS: isn't that WP-worthy now with the updated terms of use? ;)

Ok so #1, californian inmate treatment from years ago is still affecting the people still in jail so your remarks are so insensitive to those people who are victims of the system she enabled.

#2, if wall street is happy about the selection of Kamala, at what point am I supposed to jump for joy? Why would wall street of all places be happy because of a selection of a candidate? Like do you use your common sense? These people are happy because they know the money they already gave her before and will do now are going to benefit them.

So at what point am I supposed to believe a policy position webpage when I know wall street is overjoyed that she's the VP. It tells me she's bought and paid for.

I seem to recall at some point the segment of GGD  you are a part of were praising Liz Warren because wall street was afraid of her. So, if it's a good thing for Wall Street to be scared of Warren, why is it a good thing that Wall Street is happy with Kamala? Surely you can see that logic doesn't pan out. Either you guys were wrong about the Warren situation or you're wrong now about Kamala.

No one person is responsible for or can fix the broken racist system on their own.  Especially early in their career.

Blaming her for doing her job, even though wrong things happened, it's just so unforgiving, so mean. and so completely detached from how things actually work.  California has more people than Canada - it's a big justice system and an AG is not legally permitted to go in and decide their own version of justice.  The laws are not decided in the courts, they are upheld there.  And the vast majority of cases are not brought to the awareness of the AG because there isn't time in the day.

If you could fix systemic racism from the position of AG - if it were that easy - it would have been done a long, long time ago.

Kamala made the choice to work her way up in a broken system, and she may well become VP which means she can do more than she could have as an AG throwing temper tantrums and taking on a corrupt system.

Bernie has been less willing to work in a broken system, but he spent his best years as a senator from Vermont - a state with about half the population of Orange County, CA.  Imma say that Kamala's strategy in the end will work out better for her.

GOP Starts Birther Campaign Against Kalama:triggered:

Gross, but to be expected. Didn’t one of Trump’s kids claim that she wasn’t a “real” African-American? Not at all surprised at repubs using racism as a campaign strategy, just look at Trump’s birther movement against Obama

sounds about white. Couldn’t expect anything else from republikkkans

Lmao that is just ahistorical and completely untrue, America was built upon and runs on white supremacy. The entire power system in place wants nothing more than to maintain systemic racism, that’s why even with all these protests all that has really changed is corporations paying more lip service.

she should have quit her job. And there are plenty of courts that twist the laws and do with them what they like. Following an unjust law because it is the law is not an excuse, it is cowardice.

a better world is easily possible, we need to stop making excuses.

Does this mean that Pence‘s wife has to be on the stage during the VP debates? :awkney:

Anyway while I know she‘s not perfect, I‘m still happy Biden chose her and I‘m looking forward to her doing her VP-job. I hope we dont have to deal with Trump for other four years.

And with that being said- the hypocrisy in this thread is unbelievable.

Kamala was ordered to release prisoners, and she refused because doing this would deny California labor pool. So dont act like she was just doing her job when the system asked her to release prisoners and she refused because she wanted to use them for slave labor and use them to risk their lives to put out the california fires.

She then said she knew jailing single mothers was not popular, but she wanted to quit anyway and had an extra political capital to spend it on jailing single mothers.

Vote for her but stop making excuses for literal racism and horrible actions. If you are going to make excuses for her horrible actions by blaming the system, why not do the same with Trump?

I dont like Harris, but this thread shows that people have so short attention span. And because of that, Trump still has a chance in November.

Are you actually trying to say that lives in small towns are less meaningful and important than those in big states and counties? Are you really that elitist to think that?

He spent the majority of his life standing up for his constituents in Vermont regardless of how few of them there are. What a massive insult you just made not only to the people of Vermont but to every small town in america.

Wow.
