Kamala was the overwhelming choice among black Americans.

I was on Team Pete, part of the reason he dropped out was to respect the voices of black voters who sent a clear message.  This is the time to listen to black voters, and by majority, they wanted Kamala.  She's qualified, she communicates clearly and effectively - and at the end of the day, I trust she will do what she thinks is best for the country.

I'm sorry she has blemishes on her career, but you can't work in a corrupt system and fix everything all at once.  You can't avoid mistakes.  There's only so many hours in a day - and nobody can do any job perfectly.

She didn’t even try to fix it.

Find some solace that Pete will be given a cabinet position, and will probs run again in 2028 onward. Would be shame if his budding career ends now.

Who said I didn’t see it? I’m aware of both parties doing that.

Sorry, not you in particular, just a generalism

It's still so insane that we have been marching in the street for months protesting police brutality and liberals are now expecting us to be happy about the fact that the architect of the new Jim Crow carceral state picked the cop who denied healthcare to trans inmates in California and intentionally used incarcerated people for slave labor to be his VP. :air:

Fox News is in campaign mode. They try their best to demonize Biden and Harris. Hopefully, this time wont work.

we dont know for sure what she did or did not try.  It might have just been unrealistic at the time and she had other priorities where she could make a difference.

Anyone who's ever had a big job - even managing a team of 20 people - will tell you that they screwed up certain things.  Turned a blind eye to certain things.

There's so many hours in a day and if you really want to be effective in life, you need to pick your battles.

She could have melted down, thrown tantrums, made demands.  She would have been removed.

But instead, she's probably going to the ****ing VP of the United States where she really can affect big sweeping changes.

Stop listening to angry teenagers and unemployed 20 somethings living in their parents basements crucifying people who have done more than most people because they've made mistakes or didn't set some priorities properly.

OK yep, things can be difficult. People make mistakes and fail to prioritise effectively What’s changed? Why should America trust her now? Her record in Congress is hardly glowing

The progressives of GGD would rather support straight white cis men they deem as perfect and pure but have no real life accomplishments (i.e. Bernie Sanders).

Meanwhile Kamala Harris has out here actually being a public servant and doing the work. Yes, when you're in charge you have to make some tough calls that are controversial. Get over it or get out of the damn way — we're getting rid of Trump.

I'm looking at the positive because we have one shot to get Donald Trump out of office.  I'm on her side because it's the only side we have to beat Trump.

At the end of the day with Kamala - I don't think she's out for herself, or dishonest.  Flawed, sure, made mistakes, sure, but I don't think she did anything deliberately to sell out people for her own advancement.

That's what she has - a trustworthy soul.  It's enough.  And if it isn't enough, get on board anyway because it's all we have right now.

Meltdowns and attacks only help Republicans.

I learned people here don’t wanna hear that, they just want a female VP that’s all. :spin: That’s a seperate voting issue in America, nobody does their research on candidates. And for the people who do and state an opinion, you’re the bad guy or hater. :laughga:

Literally one of the things that haunted Kamala since her own candidacy was the fact that people can't trust her :toofunny: I personally have 0 strong feelings on her one way or the other, Biden definitely dropped the ball by selecting her. There are 10000s more Dems who are female and African American (or other minorities) who don't have so much baggage.

Nobody is melting down or attacking. Healthy debate is essential to democracy, don't try to stifle it.

Where did I say Trump is a better choice?

Leaders in democracy are supposed to be challenged and questioned by an informed electorate :toofunny:  Blindly following is how you get Trumps in the 1st place

No b*tch we just want to get rid of Trump WHO WILL DO SO MUCH WORSE THAN BE MEAN TO PRISON INMATES lmaoooo.

We're talking about all dreamers being deported. We're talking about women losing their access to private healthcare decisions. We're talking about same-sex adoption being outlawed. We're talking about the ONE THOUSAND AMERICANS who die a day from coronavirus because of Trump's incompetence.
