No shes not. She supports a public option. And the plan she came up with has a 10 year transition plan and a role for private insurance. Either way you slice it, she doesnt support medicare for all

I also dont have to be grateful for anything. Im not going to thank the DNC and grovel to them even though they gave me the worst people as the ticket. What nonsense.

They didn't give you the worst people. VOTERS chose our candidate. You sound like you don't like democracy.

And secondly, no country in the world has banned private insurance. And voters in America HATE the idea of it.

There are many ways to achieve universal coverage of healthcare for all Americans, M4A is not the only way. And if you are so deadset on it, with no area for compromise to help people, then you don't really care about progress at all. You only care about your own self-righteousness.

Who voted for Kamala?

1. To clarify, by 'they' I mean the selection of Kamala. I used plural by mistake when I said candidates. She's literally the worst possible person with the exception of Warren from a strategic standpoint based off of the campaign strategy Trump is currently using.

2. Medicare for All doesn't technically ban private insurance. It bans private insurance from covering any of the services covered under Medicare for All. Since Medicare for All covers almost everything, what is not covered is not likely to be a marketable supplemental coverage for private insurance (i.e. it practically forces private insurance out of business).

3. I'm not advocating for universal coverage. Universal coverage and single-payer healthcare are two different things. You should really learn the nuances because it would prevent unnecessary arguments. There are multiple versions of single-payer in other countries. All of them cover everybody and all are successful, though some are more successful than others at reducing healthcare costs per capita. But they all share the single-payer part in common. What Kamala has proposed after she took all of the pharmaceutical money and changed her stance on medicare for all is not a single-payer program and if anything would increase the privatization of Medicare.

I really wish you people could have policy oriented discussions without condescending insults. It's always about white privilege, and self-righteousness and white savior and blah blah blah.

I'm sorry but I want a healthcare system that doesn't need reforms every election cycle that will actually lower healthcare costs, that will actually ensure that black mother mortality rates lower to that of whites, that working people of all colors get healthcare instead of access of healthcare through insurance and only actual healthcare if they can afford it. I'm sorry that I'm not going to jump and cheer for a version of healthcare policy that will inevitably fail or will need another 20 years of debate on how it can be improved while keeping the for profit mafia designed to deny you coverage as much as possible in business.

I don't see how you can look past these things.

Okay then why don’t you go vote for Trump or not vote for Biden/Harris which in effect is a vote for Trump since we live in a two party system. Here’s a list of just a few things Trump has done while in office:

-Banned Trans individuals from serving in the military.

-Withdrew from the Paris Accord and rolling back climate protections.

-Decimated our Departments of State, Interior, Education and fostered a brain drain of scientists from the NIH, EPA and Interior.

-Put children in cages and separated them from their parents and didn’t even keep records of their whereabouts.

-Did nothing about gun reform and the mass shootings; still in bed with the NRA.

-Turned a blind eye to suffering people in Puerto Rico.

-Proposed legislation to gut the Affordable Care Act and eliminate pre-existing conditions.

-Appointed two extremely conservative justices to the Supreme Court.

-Asked the leader of Ukraine to dig up dirt on an opponent in order to be re-elected.

-And sooo much more...

I dont understand the logic of Biden getting Kamala to appeal to Black voters. When Kamala attacked Biden on the debate stage with "you're not racist but", black voters reacted poorly to it, while white Liberals reacted positively. If they are bringing on Kamala to boost turnout amongs black voters, Biden is more of a turnout generator among black voters.

Yeah, he'll razzle dazzle her with lies and, as her conflict with Tulsi Gabbard shows, Kamala can't handle comebacks and she'll get destroyed

Whose side are you on?

That doesn't mean you ignore the problems with what you are voting for. I have not argued that people should not vote for Biden/Harris. What I have argued is that we shouldn't be thrilled at the selection of Harris for the reasons I already mentioned. Again, it goes back to nuance and people like you do not seem capable of criticizing a democrat because they are the democrat and that all energy must be focused on the republicans.

I think it is equally fair to criticize democrats and republicans for the things they do and support that do not align with progressive values as a progressive voter. If you aren't a progressive and are happy with Harris that's fine but you can't continue to bully me for having my own perspective.

People can change and evolve. Last time I checked Hillary and Obama used to not support gay marriage but it was actually Biden who forced Obama’s hand and went rogue by coming out in support of marriage equality :trollga:

Again, it's not about, 'who's side are you on," and more about a genuine observation on Kamala's ability in the previous primary debates with democrats which are much less vicious than that of a VP debate against gay conversion therapist supporter in chief Pence.

With regard to mass incarceration, there has been no growth with Biden. He continues to not regret the crime bill and recently advocated more funding for police. Neither of these two things show any sort of 'growth' that would make him less egregious on the issue of criminal justice reform.

There is a difference between not supporting Gay marriage, and keeping innocent prisoners for slave labor to benefit financially. Or jailing single mothers who cant afford sending their kids to school. That is not something you have a change of heart about.

Anyone that thinks that Kamala would push pro-cop policy is either too entrenched in their social influence bubble to think rationally, or is purposefully trying to depress the Democratic vote.

You want to hold Democrats' feet to the fire? Wait until they get elected. Attacking them during a campaign only helps Republicans. You attacked Joe and Kamala NON-STOP during the primary with the most vicious lies and now you think you can convince them to take up your policy goals? DELUSIONAL.

Calling them a rapist and a cop DOES NOT HELP ANYONE. It does not give anyone health insurance, and it sure as hell doesn't create progress.

Yes, Obama “evolved” the second polls showed a majority of Americans supported SSM.

How courageous.
