So, how do you expect Kamala to defend her original support for medicare for all and her subsequent opposition to it? And how are they going to convince swing voters that Biden isnt incompetent and that there isnt a secret coup going on to implement "radical" left policies. I dont recall Kamala doing a good job at the debates on this specific issue and multiple times went on cable news after the fact and said she misunderstood the debate questions when she said she was supportive of elimating private insurance.

All im saying is she is bringing unnecessary liability when other candidate did not bring that kind of baggage.

Oh c'mon now. Do you really not think Kamala is going to DESTROY Pence in the debates? There's something suspicious about your skepticism.

The idea that there was even one candidate without baggage is a lie. Just saying.

Let me clarify. The trump campaign is trying to tie Biden to the Bernie left. The only option that would have been worse for that is Warren. So when I say baggage, what I meant was specific to that strategy. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Everyone has baggage. But the trump campaign has banked everything on painting joe as a Trojan horse for the left. They will go after Kamala for it. Im just saying that strategically speaking there would be other candidates that he could have chosen that would have them spinning their wheels. And as it is, early voting starts soon.

Being pro LGBT is literally the bare minimum.

Lets talk about more complicated issues like Israel and palestine and we will see theres not much difference between the two sets of nominees.

You don't get to tell people what they value, bro.

Kamala Harris was NOT a good pick for VP.

Biden basically made Trump president again.

I don't think Kamala will change much of anything tbh. I don't think she provides Biden any sort of electoral advantage, and I don't think she'll necessarily provide any sort of disadvantage. I mean, she might, especially with her record, but that was dug up months and months ago. She doesn't necessarily have any *new* baggage. Besides, I think by now most people have made up their minds as to who they're voting for.

It’s so surreal to read things like this. Any criticism of any Democrat, ever, is to support the Republican Party. Insanity. You people really don’t believe a better world is possible.

Time to break out this classic, I guess.

what is surreal is people like you still playing into the gop's hands by doing everything they can to hinder the opposition to them. These were the same tactics used by russian bots in 2016 and it continues today, divide and conquer. Change doesn't happen overnight, it is incremental, there is no use having the most left leaning progressive nominee when the republicans go on to win anyway, it is much better to have slightly moderate candidates in power than the white supremacist administration america currently has. If you look here you will see that Kamala voted with Bernie 93 percent of the time:

https://projects.propublica.org/represent/members/H001075-kamala-harris/compare-votes/S000033-bernard-sanders/115

You are just falling for right wing propaganda that wants you to feel hostile to those opposing the gop. If the last 4 years made anything clear it is that even the worst democrats is a million times better than the best republican.  All you are doing is aiding trumps agenda, similar to those who bad mouthed hillary cleared the way for trump to win. Let me ask you a question, who do you think will be better for american in the next 4 years, having the democrats in power or having 4 more years of the trump administration? Because regardless of how we feel those are the only options we currently have

But are you? :oprah:

Let's have civil conversations without needing to react with a "sad" reaction or a "LMAO" reaction to everyone's own political opinions just because you disagree with them. Look, overall, I agree with the things you have said, but I only think it adds fuel to the fire when we can't just have civil conversations instead of being cheeky to one another.

I'm not saying that it's privileged to be a leftist. I voted for Bernie in the primaries, I still support (and always will support) the progressive movement here in the US, but when we're just fighting with each other all day instead of fighting the common enemy, that does more harm than good.

What I'm saying is that quite frankly I think a lot of people here don't fully understand and realize just how thick headed Trump supporters are. I think y'all may see it on social media and whatever, but I gotta deal with these people on a daily basis. If we cannot fight them first and make sure that their president doesn't get re-elected, forget even thinking about any other progressive thing that can help people.

Yes, we are.

People in this thread are telling leftists to “f*ck off” and insinuating that we’re racists for criticizing a person who spent her entire career advancing off of the pain of the black and brown people she helped incarcerate, who literally got up in front of the California Supreme Court and argued that incarcerated people who were in jail for non-violent drug offenses like marijuana possession needed to stay in jail even after the Supreme Court ordered her to release people due to overcrowding because the state “needed their free labor.” People in this thread are posting bland, propagandistic drivel praising these two mindlessly and reducing Harris to her race while telling leftists that we’re in a cult and that we’re Trump supporters because we dared to ask for more from our representatives.

And I’m uncivil for “sad” reactions. You can’t make this stuff up.

She got some fairly new baggage and watch the media exposes it just like they did Hilary.

"bare minimum" sounds pretty good to be when Trump is literally doing everything he can to go against LGBT rights...
