Sorry if it’s already been brought up but did y’all catch when she said she was ready to release it then they changed the baseline for RoM and they continued working again? What if that’s when Mr S confirmed spring 2019 until it came and went and he said Q2 2020 (which is when we got it)

Yeah also they stripped away Alice...I knew the songs were shortened on purpose for streaming cuz some of the songs are insanely short

Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!

With each passing day Gaga's "social media is the toilet of the internet and what it's done to pop culture is abysmal" becomes more and more topical. The way some people are behaving on Twitter is beyond unacceptable and frankly disgusting. I really do hope she's at a point where she feels no need to check on what people on the internet think about her at any given moment because if they so easily brush off her talking about her mental state to instead harass one of her friends it's clear they have nothing of substance to say about her work or who she is.

I peeked on twitter for a minute and it's such a dumpster fire. one stan literally tweeted back to back "i can't believe bloodpop would tell her her music is s**t how dare he criticize her" and "no one on her team disliked chromatica? she shouldn't be around a bunch of ppl that just tell her she's perfect, it's not healthy". what's not clicking?:triggered:

Honestly Twitter is such a sh*thole place right now, when people expresses their opinion in the most obnoxious and hostile way.

Well, it's always the same thing with each era: she retrospectively explains how she was at the bottom of the hole and how this new music and her collaborators saved her life, implying she's in a better state of mind now. She does this every time. Which low-key makes me worried, because that basically means she actually goes back to crippling depression right after she releases something. Ngl, it's a bit discouraging to hear this same story each era. It's like she can't get out of this cycle.

But maybe Chromatica is different. In a way it is healing like how Cheek to Cheek and ASIB was. Even in ARTPOP and Joanne I believe she was extremely depressed because she has to put on this character.

But with Chromatica, with all the honesty and the pumping beats, I think it is healing as mental release and a validation that she is still that b*tch that can make high quality dance music. I feel her mental state from Chromatiga forward can be more exponentially better.

After listening to this, I went back to the "You're the one who wanted to be a pop star" tweet and it makes a lot of sense. BUT...

Am I REALLY late to this and am a flop, or did I just notice that she tweeted that on 9/11? HER MIND YALL. :saladga:

*shows up 12 hours late*

I've wanted her to do something like this for so long. I really enjoyed listening to her talk about the recording process even if it makes me sad af.

I am excited for what she'll say with other producers who aren't basically her brother at this point!

Same. I'm late to the party because I had to work, but I'm caught up, and I really enjoyed listening to their conversations too, even though some of the content made me just want to give her the biggest hug ever (or four hot dogs :billie:). I hope people will remember she's human and not a plastic doll.

At the end of the day, all feelings are valid if they come from a place of love. And I hope Gaga understands that and is not actually "over her fans" like some of you seem to believe.

No, it's not from a place of love, not really, if it doesn't matter what Gaga's tweeting about - the pandemic or wearing a mask or the BTWF, their reply is always,

"WE ASKED ??????????"

"NOBODY cares."

"If it's not about Chromatica you can KEEP IT."

It got so bad some locals felt sorry for her and spoke up. :ladyhaha: They said she has the WORST fan base on twitter, her fans could care less about her, and so on. And they may be right!

One more thing...

Some of her "fans" are all about FREEDOM of Speech. Of course we can criticize Gaga on twitter or GGD!

(The First Amendment protects your speech from government censorship. Freedom of speech doesn't apply to corporations, but I digress.)

Their "constructive criticism" is that she SHOULD do this, she SHOULD do that, FIRE all her friends, but most importantly, stay in her lane.

In other words, Lady Gaga is NOT FREE to do whatever she wants to do with her music, her career, HER life.

That's kinda hypocritical, you know? :ladyhaha:

Y'all shouldn't read twitter, this is so so toxic place. There always will be someone who will be say something full of hate. I don't read Twitter and my life is much better.

Yesterday first thing which I wrote here after radio Gaga was why she didn't announce any single. I was drunk as f*uck. Today I see how struggle it was for Gaga to create Chromatica and how deep was her life time those days. I love her so much, even more. And The fact that she tried to kill herself just made my heart broken. Literally. I'm so sad but it is amazing how great and huge record she did with bloodpop in that time. While listening to her I felt like she is ok now and she is very greatful to bloodpop and very very proud of Chromatica. Just can't wait for the next Friday.

Yeah, basically the "fans" treat her like a Plastic Doll, not a Free Woman.

I’ve said for months. Chromatica is a Bloodpop album with Gaga in it tbh.

Is folklore Aaron Dessner's album?? Of course not.

Chromatica is Gaga's most PERSONAL album to date, no question, and most cohesive (not her strong suit). :ladyhaha:

Stream of consciousness JOURNALING. Whatever she went through the last couple years.

I'd rather be dry, but at least I'm alive! 911. Plastic Doll. The tears. Self-doubt and self-sabotage. Antipsychotics... Can't get more personal than that.

At this point in her career Gaga is the storyteller... If Chromatica were a movie, she'd get a "STORY BY" credit, and co-writer, co-directer and co-producer.

It's a collaborative effort, like a movie, complete with interludes. Maybe she learned something from working on the ASIB movie/soundtrack. :ladyhaha:

some people really don't understand how artists choosing a primary producer to work with for an album works :saladga:

with their logic, if Bloodpop deserves online harassment for executive producing a pop album, Jack Antonoff at this point deserves to be burned at the stake

So the producers are the real reason why Alice is missing a verse?? I know that they didn't exactly say it, but the song could be one of my top favorites, if it wasn't so short  just looking for someone to blame :laughga:
